Everyday they have to set up their stalls then take them down again late at night / from nothing to this is amazing and this is every single day 👍🏻

Just spent a week there recently golfing. Its sleepy, quiet, relaxed but wild enough if you want it. The beaches arent packed, easy to get about... makes a great contrast to Bangkok which was simply crazy.

The greed of the operators charging 100 baht for umbrellas and chairs has taken over the once open public section of dongtan beach. The council is happy as more revenue and they clean the sand every morning.

Such a shame - the previously open area of beach by the Dongtan Beach sign has been taken over by the deck chair operators. People used to love sitting on the sand under the trees and feeding the squirrels. As if there weren't enough deckchairs already

Those massage prices in Hua Hin seem to be on par with Bangkok (i.e., more expensive than Patts). I wonder if the extra 'activities' are also on par with BKK prices or patts prices. Considering the very low tourist traffic there, I thought the prices would have been lower to attract tourists to it. I was looking for an alternative city (but cleaner and as cheap as) Patts for my next visit, but looks like I haven't found it yet.
