Yes but it released on Master System too in Europe.

Another stinker of a wrestling game for NES. Should be interesting to see how long it took for them to make something decent. I mean, I lived through it all (I was 12 when the first WM took place), but darn if I can remember what the first good one was on home consoles. Hard to believe we had Mat Mania in the arcades at this point. Now that was a blast to play!

I think the only good WWF games around this time were the Tecnos arcades ones. Superstars and WrestleFest. The LJN ones like Royal Rumble and Raw were ok but not great. Better than this though lol

Yeah I gotta go through a lot of bad ones before I get to some good ones lol. On a plus side, there are a few mods I wanna use for this series like GMSpectre's WrestleMania X mod so there will be some early AKI stuff coming sometime next year. When I really get into the Japanese games as well I'll probably split it and do WWF games on mondays and all other games on Wednesdays.

Definitely an improvement over the first game, but still not a "good" game. This game is like Fire Pro Wrestling's derpy cousin, lol. But I really like your format so far, showing us "tonight's matches" before the show, and then posting the recap after.

Thanks! I'll eventually link some google sheets/docs that recap title histories and event results. Also the reason I didn't start at Year 1 is because I plan on using the Legends of Wrestlings series/WWE 2k with Legends and Giant Gram 2000 to go back and do stuff from early wrestling like the NWA.

This game was such a letdown when it came out. Graphics were good for an NES game, no complaints there. But no wrestling in a wrestling game was a deal-breaker. I'll subscribe for now, because I love a lot of wrestling games from all eras, but I do hope you'll do different wrestling games (and I'd not be disappointed if you never post this game again, lol).

Thanks, I'm just doing something for fun where I try to fit in all the wrestling games (and some with mods) into a fictional timeline. I'll def spend more time with the better games. These NES games are all gonna be 1 and done lol. When I eventually get to things like No Mercy I plan on using different segments from season mode mixed together to make it look like a show. I originally wanted to do commentary but that's just too much work with all the other stuff I'm working on now so this is my just for my own fun stuff haha. This game was terrible and I don't plan on ever playing it again LOL
