Great question. The left gastric artery (LGA) may not be visualized due to several factors including technical issues, an anatomical variation where LGA can originate directly from the abdominal aorta in approximately 2-6% of individuals, and finally, the LGA is relatively small compared to other celiac branches. This can make it less conspicuous.
