Looks like they named OFF right, since it keeps bugs off and gets adhesive off. So, you are the first to recommend that one and I sure have some handy. I'm thinking it's maybe the citronella in the spray that reacts to dissolve the adhesive.

This girl in the video is not using bug spray to spray in a room or outside. She is actually using a BUG SPRAY MADE SPECIFICALLY TO BE SPRAYED ON YOUR SKIN TO WARD OFF INSECTS. IT IS MOST LIKELY LESS TOXIC THAN A BUG SPRAY THAT IS MADE TO SPRAY IN AREAS LIKE ROOMS OR THE OUTDOORS. I personally would rather use her exact product. I bought this bug spray that she’s using yesterday. Today I will put it to the test on a sticker that I am trying to remove off of a window of my house. I will post another comment after I try it. Wish me luck. I think it will work.

Soak them in peroxide for five minutes before putting them in the paper towel. Promotes germination

How about under fence gates?

I put a wood plank across the bottom under the door that I secured in each side of the fence post. I could add a screen to that but for some reason I never found any efforts made by animals to dig under the plank. I found claw marks on the plank but no digging in the dirt next to it.

It’s the DEET in the bug spray that eats the sticker. It’s also what kills you and gives you cancer. My friend said when he worked for UP railroad that they would get DEET undiluted and make their own bug spray with it and that they spilled the undiluted container of DEET on the floor of a rail car and it ended up eating a hole completely through the rail car floor. It won’t eat the plastic container but undiluted it destroys metal apparently.

I have to say that the very first part of the video is wrong because you can’t use just any pepper. It has to be a ripened pepper which typically means one that is not green. If you use a green pepper 90% of the seeds at least will not even germinate. Facts

How would you clean out the lint with a permanent vent like that?
@lauracoteDIY
@lauracoteDIY 23 күн бұрын
It is not the dryer vent output. It is the external air intake to go into the furnace. There is a separate vent that blows out. This sucks fresh air in. Hope that clarifies.

How do you keep your hose/spigot from freezing all winter so that you can flood the ice?
@lauracoteDIY
@lauracoteDIY 27 күн бұрын
Go here and watch step #5 at the 2 minute mark to see exactly what I use. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hni6mGRooNl1i7ssi=wX9bV4IAVcjWLtAo but it’s an outdoor thermal cover and I have not had any issues in below freezing temperatures. It would depend on your climate and which cover you require. I also disconnect my hose each water and empty the line before storing until the next use.

I don't think it's likely to be a meaningful issue in this specific case, but caution on caulking the bottom of just about anything attached to a house's exterior: -if- when water leaks inside, it needs a path to escape. In this case, a bit of water might get trapped between the vent and PVC siding, but as these are plastic neither will rot, which is why it probably isn't as much of a concern in this case. That said, no reason to not let that water out when possible. :) An exception is the home's air barrier, which for many newer homes is the house wrap (and there is no real air barrier in many older homes).
