Great emotionally driven "story" musically told. Maybe not as dark and dramatic as the theme - Covid - was and is for me in real life, but still it did have lots of hope in the music, which is important.

Thank you so much for listening and for your thoughts on the piece. That’s a great observation and I agree. I chose to underscore the sadness and longing in the first movement as the tribute. I definitely wanted the second movement to instill hope as we experience renewed connection with one another, and am glad that quality came through in the music.
