I had to look up just how to do the Lambeth Walk after seeing that video of the Nazis where it was edited to make them look like they were dancing! I'd always known the song, and I'd always known that there was a dance that went with it, but it's only now that I actually learned the dance!

Great video, thanks are sent from a French person :) I was listening to a music with French lyrics sung by Dalida, called 'Le Lambeth Walk' and which happens to have the same melody as the music in your video. I was wondering what Lambeth walk looked like and it brought me here!

The old Lambeth Walk was demolished in the 1970s. There's nothing of note to see there now, sadly.

Could have been one of the first if not the girst viral dances, since the movie was shown all over the world, people started doing the dance after seeing it

Cute. But I wish someone actually sang the song live. Hugs from USA

Indeed, that would be great! Unfortunately our singing abilities don't go far beyond lip-synching but we'd love to work more with singers!

Looks like so much fun! I loved seeing the younger girl, I started dancing at 11 and it makes me so happy so see more kids enjoying dancing!

Thanks Amelia, it was an amazing event! We also have having younger people attendees, it brings a different energy :) We also teach in schools and it is great to see young people progressively put self-consciousness to one side after a bit and have a ball dancing a dance their (great-)grand-parents would have loved and perhaps met dancing!

My Irish father went dancing with my mother. She made all the clothes, which were incredible. My Irish father would dress up first, in a jazzy sports coat, and dance for us! It was a Great amount of Giggle!
