Never understood why anyone would want to drive into Chester, fanatic rail link, 3 park and rides very limited parking in the centre. Far better to cycle in

Pity they they closed Sealand rd down for some reason,one on each side of the city then.Secure undercover cycle parking at the new market as well in the main car park secure room cctv and fob access.

Probably in their mind they stopped clearing it to save money only to waste on pathetic stuff, also sefton hate cyclists with a vengeance, very few cycle lanes made and done safely.

My friend, I hope that you see this comment, I have a favour to ask of you: I am making a documentary on the James Bulger case, I am sure you are aware of what this was. This video is the best footage I can find anywhere online that shows the Bootle area of the canal, and I need some video of this area for one of the clips in the film. I am asking if you would kindly grant me permission to cut a small part of your video, so that I can use the footage in my documentary. If you would like me to give you credit, or to shout out your channel - I will gladly do so. Hope this comment finds you well. Good luck with your KZbin journey!

Handy to see the foot passenger route. Would you mind taking the time to remount the camera so no vibration is recorded and give a voice over saying where you are.
@TheSadcyclist4 ай бұрын
Yhr annoying vibration is caused on the video by the block paviours having a very rough raised surface not like smooth ones found in pedestrianized areas, theyve done a lovely job, but sens very small the space theyve allocated for vehicles, and a shared use narrow path as welll.

Yep, you're right there mate. I have worked on the Railway for nearly 35 Years and the old semaphore signal was still there, attached to it's post for Canada Dock Station on the Route from Edge Hill, until they cleared it all to build The Crown Plaza Hotel. It was just behind The Stone Wall.

Because of all the old dock gate entrances that you showed here, always flooded with god knows what underneath, I don't even attempt to join the path until 5:30 if going to the city. They need filling in pronto! Stay safe pal ✌🏻

I don’t understand the logic of this. Why would I risk crossing the road twice (especially since as you demonstrated motor vehicle drivers appear to ignore the imperative to give way at the crossings) when I could simply turn left out of Langsdale St? And by the way how is a southbound cyclist supposed to become aware of that weird contraflow cycle lane on the footpath seen at the end of the video?
@atakd9 ай бұрын
The reason the vans are parked there is that Wirral Borough Council are playing the arse in refusing the company planning permission to build a car park on brownfield land next to its site. They did the same with 2 houses in Hoylake which sat derelict for 4 years until the council panicked when the Open Golf was on its way and changed its mind. The council will back down on this but not until residents have faced years of inconvenience again. Of course, no councillors are directly affected by their petty power playing.
@TheSadcyclist9 ай бұрын
why dont they buy the old builders merchants next door to their site all empty now.
@themistocleszammit9 ай бұрын
I come that way regularly. I never use this facility: one has three give way lines, drivers heading south do not expect cyclists to appear from the middle of a a traffic island (and why would they: there is no advance warning on the road) and one is finally spat out onto the wrong side of the road. I use the roundabout: faster and safer.
