You can extract coconut milk in this same method using the frozen shredded coconut available in Indian grocery stores. The milk will be more flavorful compared to the dried shredded coconut.

Thanks for the vid. I use amylase powder, really cold water, some ice cubes, nut milk bag and my vitamix and avoid the slime. Heat is what makes it slimy so adding the ice cubes and keeping the blades cool will cut back on slime. Also, amylase powder is an enzyme that breaks down the oats to make them less slimy. I don't soak or any of that but I'm sure that's what soaking does, breaks down the oats. I've been making different versions of oat milk for a while and this works best for me. YMMV.

It’s more than three ingredients, it’s an entire recipe that requires a recipe card in a blogpost. If I would have made this a 30 min video like I did 10 years ago, you probably would have complained/asked questions. Times have changed and I need to keep up with the algorithm so people like you can find my recipes. Oh and I can’t “just write the recipe in the comments” because website visits is how I make money, it is how I can continue to share my recipes for free.

I'm looking for a video on how to toast raw buckwheat groats. For instance, I would want to rinse them first, so do I have to dry them completely before toasting them? If I toast them on the stove in a stainless steel pan, do I need to add anything to keep them from sticking to the pan if I am not constantly stirring them? What level of heat is optimal for making sure they don't burn but also don't take too much time?
@akrishnadevotee3 ай бұрын
160 degrees for 25-30 minutes in the oven. spread them in a baking tray, and after 30 minutes, turn them over and heat for another 15 minutes.

Not slimy? it is slimy this way and it is visible in the video. There is another video here that explains it properly. If you blend oats for longer period of time than 10-20 seconds you will get slimy milk. With the blender I am using the "pulse" of 10 seconds works the best. I usually blend them 3 times with pauses of 2 min between blends.
