I remember the play “Our Town”(by Thornton Wilder) at the “Mannequin” theater in Chelyabinsk (USSR) in 1984. The main melody was Bach's Air. It was the feeling of instantness and infinity, life and death, love and sadness

The best I have heard of Pacabel's Canon. For some reason the part mostly from 2:30 until around 4:00 seems to excel anything I have ever heard in the deliverance of this piece of music. imho Very excellent performance.
