I was smarter. I waited until I was 22 and had proper car mastery. Had a nice small corner without any traffic nearby that was frozen over, so I could execute a slow and safe 90° handbrake turn - perfect execution with countersteering and all. Turned out she had placed a 10 liter bucket of white paint in the trunk (can't remember whether I knew about it beforehand) and this was probably the reason a decent amount of it was spilled. Tldr: It was the perfect handbrake turn but she hadn't closed the damn lid tight enough.

Handbrake turns only work when you can do a full 180 using throttle and be in gear when you let off the lever and get going in an instant. It helps when they are drunk too.

I spent so long in my youth doing handbrake turns as part of my daily drive that by the time I had a girl in the car I was actually quite proficient. Never got that^^ face but got either a stunned silence or a "HOLY FUCK WHAT!" What I was having trouble with in my teens was J-turns. Looking back I just wasn't committed enough but definitely got that^^ face a couple of times with those!!
