Yes, I’d like to imagine your sex. Imaginative, dead, erotic life force as it is. But perhaps it’s the phone call he’s on before you go erotic. Perhaps it’s the “don’t ask me the same question” before you start to care. 2 hours I’d be pretty spent, but hey dolce far niente my sleek little kitten, let’s do it that way.

I discovered this song today; it played in my random mix. As a proud Worker this brought a surge of pride. It turns out that today I have had to stand against tyranny. I am facing retaliation for whistle blowing, and today I firmly told my boss that "I will not have you push this on to the worker, I have already contacted BOLI and the DOJ." Joe Hill was by my side today. He made sure that I heard this, because it will inspire me to carry the Scarlet Standard to victory.

Love this song .My dad was a docker on the Gladstone dock and he was a union rep too who represented men in tribunals .Unfortunately for him he lost a hopeless case in which some fellow dockers had been caught stealing and from that moment on he was victimised and alienated by the families of those men .He spent his final 20 odd years on the docks as a loner .This caused our family problems all the way through .It`s not all rose tinted .

Great lyrics. I can't quite get the line after 'Just stop what you're doing...' though - is it ' and right within the hour'? They got money but it never worked a hospital They got money but it never drove a bus They got money but it never worked a railway line They got money but all of that was us [chorus] So if you feel intimidated by a higher power Just stop what you're doing And right within the hour You'll see the power that we've got We can make the world stop We can make the world stop and start again We can make the world stop We can make the world stop and start again They make laws but their laws have never dug for coal They make laws but have never cleaned a school They make laws but their laws have never worked the land They make laws but hey that was me and you chorus we bloody well should *3 Cause every power that they hold Every law or block of gold Every policeman, every jail Is guaranteed to fail Because everything that they demand Is a powerless command Unless we obey to what they say But if we say no way We can make the world stop We can make the world stop and start again *4 and we bloody well should *3 we can make the world stop

hiya Phil, thanks for getting in touch. The lyric is "just stop what you're doing and right within the hour, you'll see the power that we've got - we can make the world stop" - RMT are kinda proving this at the moment too 😀

Without doubt this track needs recording professionally, The struggle to clear the Shrewsbury Two / 24 must never be forgotten. The liquid kosh given to Dessie was, Is and always will be a National Disgrace. Also the lies fed to Ricky and Dessie were cruel, inhuman and intended to cripple Solidarity. This is a great track Alun and a fitting tribute to both men as My name is Dessie Warren was for the whole Trade Unions which these two men held so dear.

For 2 weeks the small town of Limerick was the centre of the World Revolution and it will be again :) - Solidarity from Germany
@cjhunt95323 жыл бұрын
while it was a great moment in proletarian history i think it's silly to call it the "center" of the world revolution- that was surely in the RSFSR
@TheLumpenMaoist7 ай бұрын
@@cjhunt9532 I mean maybe not Limmerick, but the Irish Revolution was at quite the Centre of World Revolution at the time; Lenin himself pointed out that the Irish Citizen Army [ICA] was the first ever Red Guards of Europe, and that the Irish Revolution in 1916 was the first revolution of the Bolshevik type

The Criminal Cases Review Commission finally agreed (4-3-20) to refer the convictions of the Shrewsbury pickets to the Court of Appeal. The pickets delivered their applications to the CCRC’s Birmingham headquarters nearly eight years ago, in April 2012. Eight of the North Wales building workers who were jailed or received suspended prison sentences in 1973-74, will now get the chance to show that they suffered a miscarriage of justice. www.shrewsbury24campaign.org.uk/

Wow Katy. I'm so glad to hear from you. I totally understand how proud you are of him. Do you have the book about him by Ritchie Hunter?
@katyroseable5 жыл бұрын
The Liverpool Psychotherapy Practice Hi, I don’t have the book as I don’t think it’s available here in Canada. Maybe I can order it though. Uncle Harry was my dad’s brother and I got to travel to England on several occasions and stayed with him and his wife, truly a great storyteller.
@martinralph93144 жыл бұрын
Hi, I am writing to you about Harry Constable. I only met him once when I took Bill Hunter to see him in, I think, 1994. But before then I spent 7 years working with and traveling around the world with Bill, and I heard the struggle of the post-war dockers many, many times and read the history (also many times) of Harry in "They Knew Why They Fought" and "LIfe Long Apprenticeship" both by Bill. The reason I'm writing to you now is that the new unions in London UVW and IWGB think to some extent their development has a link to the Blue Union. So the memory of the dockworker's struggle lives on, in struggle. I'm putting together something from the great 1889 strike to the post-war 40s and 50s unofficial struggles in which Harry was of course central. What lessons can we learn for the struggles today is one of the ideas. If you have any photos that could be used in a presentation and you are kind enough to send them it would be great. In honour of Harry Constable. Martin Ralph

He’s ok, but not that good. I like him, he’s actually good as a trad protest singer but like seriously he should do some more high energy rock music, some drum music. It’s so tame, lyrically it’s radical but it’s dad music sonically
