Very good Brandon. I live here by the Ferry Boat landing, fishing all around here and even at Bolivar side too. Specs are being caught everywhere and even some nice flounders too. As long we are getting Southeast winds like we have been having, these green clear waters have been a haven for everyone especially if you are a wader! But the prime time to catch you good share and great size keepers, you need to be out there before the break of dawn which is about 0530 in the mornings. Im out there at 0530 and its on at 0600ish!!! You just really need to get up extra early. Also, try them paddle tail plastic lures via tandem rig. Them white Gulp curly tails work great, and then hard plastics that imitate baby Speckled Trouts. Don't if you knew this, but then Specs are cannibals to eating the small young specs. Also, get you some finger mullet, especially if you have your own casting net, they are being hit really good either free-line or popping cork too. Some people add a small weight to a Free-Line and that is NOT free-line at all. Free-line is weightless. Anyways, theres more to tell but thats it for now. Good luck and be safe!!!
@brandonmolina7113 күн бұрын
Yes, by far the best times 5am-9am to target these trouts wading. Free lining shrimp is key 🔑 for those trouts. A lot of people like using croaker but that the rich 🤑 people 👍🏽

I've caught many tarpon off those piers, you want to reel your swim bait low and slow so when you cast let it sink in front of the school and reel it slow enough to keep it well below the surface but in the school 😀.
