I finally came to check this place out for the first time today. I asked my dad to bring me here for my birthday lunch. I turned 35 yesterday. I was going to try their churrasco steak platter, but something else caught my eye instead, their Los Compadres platter, which consisted of a small steak, grilled chicken breast, a whole piece of fried Chorizo, a potato, a fried plantain and something called a cassava. I ate most of it before I felt too full to eat the rest. But I definitely enjoyed it. Perhaps next time I go there, I’ll try the churrasco.

I’m 68. I remember going there at 5 years old. My favorite memories as a young child were going there. Our Uncle and Aunt would always take my Mom and us 4 kids as my dad worked nights. Now I’m going to insist on going again. I loved the on on Algonquin out in the NW suburbs but it’s gone. ❤❤

As a native new yorker, I defintiely have pride in the culture. NYC wins in pizza for me, but I have to admit with hot dogs it isn't even close. Chicago destroys NY in that category.

i used to deliver pizza for them. late 90s.

I used to love the Bridgeview location for the steak taco dinner. Unfortunately, they have gone hill. Orders show up wrong and then management says the customers are the one in the wrong instead of owning up to the mistakes. It’s costly to eat out so I’m going eat what I paid for when at a restaurant. Just sad because it was a go-to spot.
