I’m so happy I discovered your channel just subscribed! This haul was amazing, and I’ve already added a few of these books to my TBR. I love that you feature such a wide range of genres and even share your favorite BookTubers. I totally agree that it’s harder for Black creators to get visibility and traction through the algorithm. A lot of these are pretty known. I hope I enjoy them. Most of the time when a book is known, I tend to not like it. I discussed my disappointing books read in 2024 in my channel. I am excited to read Dial A For Aunties. 🐐

Finding Me was my only 5 star read last year, it was so good, i recommend the audio with it. Also Kill for me kill for you is one of my favorite thrillers in a long time, highly recommend!

Not to overhype, but... This Ravenous Fate was one of the best books I read last year. 🌙❤ grabbed body and soul food from the library, i love cozy mysteries and supporting black authors.❤

I just can’t fuck with Saving Noah because I just don’t think pedophiles are the people we need to make more empathetic… I know it’s my own bias from my own life, I just know I’d end up furious reading that book. Cuz like… it gets the world’s smallest violin from me.

Dual timelines are tricky to execute in a book. It's hard to synthesize them in a single book, without thinking that each timeline should've been two separate books. So many folks didn't like Other Black Girl. I have yet to see anyone rave about it. 🔥

I was surprised that I loved Butcher and Blackbird, was not expecting to like it but it really worked for me!! I laughed out loud a ton and was obsessed with Sloane and Rowan 😍 Dial A For Aunties is such a fun one! Emily Wilde is a favorite as well, and I loved the second book even more. Just For The Summer made it onto my top 10 of this year, love that series ❤️

I was also so bummed by Immortal Pleasures after loving V. Castro’s other work - both novels and her short story collections. I don’t get the turn that she’s taking with this work.

@ it’s so odd because her past works there is some romance but not nearly as cringe as her recent works in blending romance and horror. Hope her 2025 release is better but I’m waiting on reviews for sure.
