I’m so happy I discovered your channel just subscribed! This haul was amazing, and I’ve already added a few of these books to my TBR. I love that you feature such a wide range of genres and even share your favorite BookTubers. I totally agree that it’s harder for Black creators to get visibility and traction through the algorithm. As a new KZbinr myself, I understand how challenging it is to get content noticed. Can’t wait to see your next video! 🤎

I think you picked some really good books, I have read both Kindred and Only For the Week and can tell you that both of those books are great, I loved both of them.

A lot of these are pretty known. I hope I enjoy them. Most of the time when a book is known, I tend to not like it. I discussed my disappointing books read in 2024 in my channel. I am excited to read Dial A For Aunties. 🐐

@@louisity this was lowkey kinda shady but most of my worst books of the year are also popular. and almost half of these have 20,000 reviews or less on goodreads which to me isn’t popular

I just can’t fuck with Saving Noah because I just don’t think pedophiles are the people we need to make more empathetic… I know it’s my own bias from my own life, I just know I’d end up furious reading that book. Cuz like… it gets the world’s smallest violin from me.

Dual timelines are tricky to execute in a book. It's hard to synthesize them in a single book, without thinking that each timeline should've been two separate books. So many folks didn't like Other Black Girl. I have yet to see anyone rave about it. 🔥
