Search disrespectful behavior. A baseball catcher is supposed to be the captain of a team setting the tone for sportsmanship and Goodwill. This young player does the opposite and will make people not want to watch the games.

Yeah it's great to struggle but not when it's on the daily. Not when the housing market is up the interest is of the inflation is of gas prices are of food prices are up and literally the entire cost of living is up probably 400 percent since the 60s. If you're going to talk about a struggle make sure you use a control variable and a constant changing variable being inflation housing market and so on and so forth with the economic situation right now. If you're in your thirties you had the good times more than the bad right now. If you're going to talk with knowledge and not out your ass. Struggles may make who you are but our struggle can also change who you were meant to be they can change your future and destiny just like it changed your present. The past defines your future and if your past is full of debt it will be a debt for future even if you've done everything right so many little nuances that it's hard to really describe and actually say properly without offending people or just pissing people off because you left some things out. I know this is a long ramp but it needed to be saidand I know I'm missing a good chunk of points and you can add them if you want but I'm just speaking my mind

Hi. I have a problem with my swing where I can’t stop my hands from racing in front of my rear elbow and I never really allow it to slot. I turn my barrel rearward just fine it’s just my hands get in front of the rear elbow by a lot. Any advice or drills would be nice. Thanks.

@@NoaEvans-r1d Couple drills you could try. 1) Slot Bands. I’ve posted shorts of several of my players using them. 2) Split Grip Drill. Great drill for feeling connection. Let me know how these work for you!

No…no at all. Just helps with engagement of the shoulder. Not the same thing as a slingshot, which I think you might be thinking of. Totally different application.

cringe his back arm shouldn't be that active and extended at contact. It should be bent and close to the body, which is rotating.

You’re missing the point of the drill.
@hiker-uy1bi Жыл бұрын
@@coachfoxtraining Not really. Why drill something that trains the back arm to do a motion it shouldn't be doing?
@coachfoxtraining Жыл бұрын
@@hiker-uy1bi Happens all the time when using drills for other particular focus. Why use med ball throws? Why use Proteus machine? Why use KB swings? Because they are great drills that provide benefits on another focus/feel. Not every drill will be 100% transferable in every aspect. Obviously, you don’t understand the drill and didn’t read the summary. The point of the drill is for tracking. I want him to catch the ball deeper. If he catches the ball deeper, he won’t be as extended. As the title says, this is one drill that Barry Bonds used. Seemed to work for him fairly well lol. If you don’t like the drill- fine. Have a great day!

Doing it all wrong....catch the ball with your palm down to create more of a direct path to the ball

Nope. We don't want to teach the hands being pushed down or the ball being pushed down.

@@coachfoxtraining your hand is not being pushed down...when you catch the ball your hand stops instantly....you dont catch it and continue to push your hand in a downward motion

@@coachfoxtraining its about feel, not what something actually looks like...I know someone's palm will never actually be face down during an actual swing.....its the same as people saying to swing down on the ball....visually, no one's swing actually looks like they are swinging down on the ball, but a lot of hitters have to tell themselves to swing down on the ball or stay on top of the ball to get the right swing plane.....they may have to do certain drills as well where it may actually require them to swing down on a ball....look up Yelich in a recent interview explaining a drill that Barry Bonds had him do where he was actually swinging down on a ball...I think you would agree that no one wants to literally swing down to beat balls into the ground....but like I initially said, hitters have to do certain things/drills to get the correct feeling that they need.....you cant base everything off of what it looks like on a video....what someone sees and someone feels are 2 totally different things....I'd much rather go off of feel than go off of what I see

Do you have any suggestions on a starting point for width of stance and stride?
@coachfoxtraining5 жыл бұрын
Generally, I like having players start their initial stance with feet just outside the shoulders. Stride length will be player dependent. I want to make sure I get enough length to have enough space between my legs for the back leg to be able drive forward. Obviously, I don't want to over stride either. As long as the player is ending up with his back knee under his back hip and head, he probably isn't over striding. Also think of stride length as putting the player into an athletic position for launch.
