Hey I got a question so by me goin through all of that imma be able to install mods from nexus mods bc fr I been wanting to try a mod for smoke as his robot skin and i follow the mk12ff thing steps and nothing has worked the only things that I was able to make it work was a 60fps mod that all I had to do was leave it in the wine 64 and maybe a shader 😢

@@fellipegabriel4778 yes mk1 hook got updated so it works on the new patch so it allows mk12tth to work with mk1 allowing skins on the new update

MK!hook allows for themodloader to work cause it uses a new dsound file mk12tth used to work by itself but it isnt up to date yet so it requires the latest mk1hook

mk12tth is the skin loader skins go into the LogicMods folder

I did everything and the nod loader didnt boot up all the files and pasted items i put exactly where you put them but for some reason the mods arent there and neither is the mod loader

@@deadboyscorner just added you I managed to get it to work but literally had to factory reset my deck over some dumb bug that occured so I may need your help this time around I forgot how I did everything to get mods to work but yeah thank you man. Re downloading the game again and recovering a lot I had lost smh.

So basically I gotta copy that line just like I did for sekiro shadows mods. Is there a new version of MK1 Hook mod alongside the MK12th mod? I feel like I gotta download something else now. Also we don’t have to leave mods outside of the newly modded folder anymore? Or is that only for certain specific mods? Update: I just did this step by step and now my game won’t load at all even in game mode…😶

mk1hook was updated mk12tth im not sure if theres a new update yet specific mods have there own instructions my video shows where the compat directory is then its essiantily follow in the description as if you were running windows

since proton is sandboxed each game has it own prefix it follows its steam id then acts like drive c

use dsound from mk1 hook if i can know what mods your trying to install i could create a modpack zip with it working

mk1 hook updated so if you see an error with mk1 hook makesure to download the updated version and override the old files

Hey bro are you available at the moment, I need some help, I'm confused cause I did everything as described and My Mileena skin shows up, but the Kitana Skin doesn't? I have them installed in the LogicMods folder as described, and the Mileena skin works but the Kitana one doesn't, is there something I did wrong?

it could be that the mod requires a certain outfit or that the mod might require a diffrent mods folder i would suggest the checking the description of mod you are trying to install

Yeah it did, it was set to her union of light outfit, I was so confused at first haha, and thanks bro, will do, thank you so much. Currently on the hunt for a way to make the resolution as clear as the one on my ps5, if thats even possible for the steam deck version.

@@aminefelkaoui9603 protontricks cant see your sd card so games that are populated on it wont be seen in proton tricks but the command that i pinned on the video would work

essentially it does the same thing that protontricks does when telling the proton prefix to load the modded dll aka the modloader instead of the default dll the proton library

How do you get the files to be able to drag and drop like you did in the video? When I try to do it on my steam deck with desktop mode the files appear as unknown and won’t let me install the mods properly.

if drag and drop doesnt work then extract the archive to a folder go into the extract folder and highlight the .pak files and rightclick to copy or move i was using a mouse and keyboard while docked so thats why i could do it easily

@@deadboyscorner well even so no matter what I do the mods won’t load even after watching countless tutorials on how to install MK1 mods and none of them have any tutorials on how to get them to work on steam deck since apparently the desktop mode uses Linux which isn’t the same as windows.

For controller support you gotta map it in the steam config arrow keys for dpad enter for the a button button for on screen keyboard y button s key for search

Dont have a steam deck yet, but for SF5 it should be as straight as to create a ~mods folder under paks and place the mods in there, it does not require any program installation

Normally the mod tells you what each skin requires I normally just stick to mods that cover over default ones
