If your completely removed the capacitor legs then the red and black could have been soldered through the holes left by the capacitor....

I love it! I agree with the speed comment, but faced with reality of getting more APRS in use I'm glad you did what you did. I've been looking for a simple tracker that we can have on hand for events like bike rides where we can hand out to people providing comms. I'd love to get to a point that we could have a small one that we can hand to a cyclist. LORA is a good idea, we've kicked around the idea of deploying LORA communicators on the AT, it could be useful to have in remote locations with no other commercial coverage.

I too would like to see some provision for indicator led's on the board so I can tell at a glance switch status. I am aware of diy routes and other add on track signaling controllers, it all seems to be a big PITA. I really don't want to go down the DCC path. So I'd be willing to pay a bit more for the easy way out. I just noticed when this video came out. It was in my feed Nov. 2023, has this product developed any further/

there is now a scale smaller than N scale. Its called T scale

omg,the worst 'how to' clip ive ever seen.before you make a video, at least make sure it can be done.can't see for your hands,Using a Dremel, but not showing us what your dremeling (bad spelling),not discussing if there is a proper order where the wires are soldered in respect of polarity etc to the motor.And NO, i couldn't do one of these clips, because of issues above, so i don't even attempt it.

2 Gauges you didn't mention witch i find very interesting are: L-Gauge. L stands for LEGO, this is the gauge of the LEGO train tracks as well as tracks of other LEGO compatible brick manufactures T-Gauge. Witch is the smallest available Gauge, with only 3mm.

nice but I think for my access to my mancave/office that I'm going to use 15 x 30 ft of my carport for, I'm just going to do a stationary stairway. My carport is 30x60 so I won't be giving up much of one of the area where I part to put the stairway. My cousin mentioned attic stairs that retract but I want something more sturdy and nice and wide too.

What radio are you using with the GPS antenna? I’m guessing it’s not the TM-D710G which are the radios I use for APRS.
