So nice to see the mechanic and analog electric. I love them so much as organ builder 😍.

That Wurlitzer just sounds too good, almost better than the Rhodes

They certainly have a vibe!! I personally like a rhodes tone but the wurlitzers feel so much better

This is super similar to a Rhodes Piano Bass
@EmmarepairsКүн бұрын
Not really! As in its a piano bass and mechanical, yes, but the reeds, pluckers, and lack or dynamic control is the bigger setback of this vs the piano bass

There is a whole constellation Soviet/Russian electric pianos and synthesizers that would be interesting to review. Also, that the RMI keyboards, one of which was used by Tony Banks of Genesis. I just subscribed!!

wow! i can see you have no problems with russian instruments. but what about german ones? i mean east german. i have one? vermona piano strings kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6PEcnapr9qpd6M . unfortunately some keys don't produce any sound, maybe capacitors are out of order. i found description and circuit scheme, but everything in german, sometimes written by hand with a pencil, hah.

30 years ago "Юность 70" was one of two keyboards in a studio I used to play in with my classmates, alongside Czechoslovak-made Tesla G100-115 amps. It's been almost three decades since I last heard this sound. 😊

@@Emmarepairs We also used to have a Polivoks synth 😬 what a nightmare! Back in those days, it was very rare to have Western-made instruments. One of the then so-called VIA bands (Vocal and Instrumental Ensembles, which were formally recognized by the government during the Soviet and early post-Soviet period) had an Oberheim OB-Xa, a DX7, and an Ensoniq ASR-10. Obviously we were not allowed to touch them but we still did :)))

i have the Yunost-73 with adjustable stand and it has a glissando knee-controller from below. heavy as tank, 40+ Kg. but in my opinion, the most interesting soviet electric organ is the Elektronika EM-14/141 (Электроника ЭМ-14. ЭМ-141 - export version with english words). it contains a synth section with VCF, Leslie FX and can simulate a Hammond-style sound (sines generated by Walsh synthesis using special chips).

I've played it many times. Search the Internet for the Moscow Thunderbeats band. It will also (I hope) be heard on the band's second album Holy Troika (if we ever finish it). But the first album features many Soviet instruments. Ural bass, Vilnius organ, Stella guitar, and others (if anyone is interested, please dry) youth also naturally sounds on many songs of the 60s from the USSR.
