Add background music by all means, but please turn the music volume down so it is not so annoying, as it spoils the enjoyment of the fine work.

I use a piece of wood for a handle and a piece of HS steel for a graver .works great gor 5 bucks

Can i use this machine for stippling dots in scrimshaw art. On bone or ivory. Looks like you must only press it against the steel plate for it to start cutting. But with Scrimshaw the tip must be in up and down motion like the tattoo machine even before you place it against a plate ?

Yes, you can hold the machine over the metal, bone or ivory for stippling.

Just an observation of traditional engravers and jewellers at bench, it is easy to understand reasoning to posture they assume at their bench. The arms are supported by the erected yet seadily suplorted torso resting on low back and legs which provide support for all parts above them. Standing could create challenge in the legs, in maintaining body's balance, which becomes another factor for people doing this type of work to be mindful.

My setup is: lens adapter - objective lens - lens cover. You actually dont need the lens adapter if you dont use the maximum zoom cause with this adapter your work distance is narrowed by maybe 1cm. If you dont use the adapter and you fully dial the max. Zoom, the internals will hit your objective lens.

Hello Tira. I am considering purchasing this microscope & camera. I am a diamond setter & engraver, & I’d like to record for social media & demonstration, & live stream for demonstration. Is there a way to simultaneously work at one magnification, while live streaming at a different magnification ?. I’d like to be able to work at a higher magnification than I am streaming live to people at a different location. Thank you
