Fairmount Fire Department

The 100% Volunteer Protective Company #1 of the Fairmount Fire Department was formed in 1942 to cover the rapidly growing southeastern portion of The Town of Camillus. Located inside of Onondaga County in Central New York, Fairmount is located five miles west of the City of Syracuse, and is a proud member of Onondaga County's Western Section Line Officers Association. Being a suburb of Syracuse, Fairmount is a densely populated area consisting of single family homes, numerous multi-family apartment complexes, and several large Industrial and commercial business zones.

Being a former resident in the Fairmount fire district, I must say they definitely hold the title "The Best In The West". Their professionalism and interaction with the community goes above and beyond. Keep up the good work.
