I already made the mistake of cutting them short, what now???

Unless that box is bonded, this is not safe!

Can you explain why? Does it have to do with the ground wire?
@bhsg5 ай бұрын
This might be a dumb question, but how do you shut off the electricity to that particular part of the wiring in the wall to keep from electrocuting yourself while touching wires? Circuit breakers?

finally someone explains the screws into the face plate bracket and the screws coming out of the faceplate into the wall light fixture. 2 Sets of screws that no one else explained.

What do I do with the copper wire, my scones already came connected, please help. I am using it as a plug in
@Steve-Loring9 ай бұрын
The copper is a ground wire. Since there’s only 2 wires for power (hot,neutral) and no ground wire you’d just roll that up and move alone.

I was hoping this would show removing and reattaching light fixture. This video is basically useless.

Yeah, not the best idea to have a cable coil in there. Why? Because it is just not. Better cut it off.

True. I am here because I have the same issue now with an IKEA product and wanted to see how others fix this. Coiling wire under current is a bad idea since it generates heat. It's like vacuuming with the cable still half in the vacuumer. Not a good idea honestly. I will just cut it off. Like done for many years by people who only died on the last day of their life 😂😅

Slow down please next time. Some of the wires you are showing were already connected. We need from the beginning.
