There are not always good free plugins, and they often do not have the functions that kickstart 2 has, let's say a sidechain from an audio source, most often they are just sync bpm and they do not have a sidechain at 2 frequencies. Similarly, deesser of all free deeser is either one-stop or you need to use dynamic eq, there are no built-in plugins in ableton and you have to use plugins that are most often used, for this reason there are waves autotune and kickstart. Most often, producers have even more plugins and they take kickstart v2 and delete and use their shaperbox3 plugins or Devious Machines - Duck or some free ones. Similarly, someone's deesser is waves, fabfilter DS, soothe 2. I think we need to try more free plugins in projects.
