There are only small differences. On the v2, there are holders for the add-ons on the side instead of magnets. You slide them into the holder and it holds better than in the V1, unless you always have it lying on the table anyway, in which case it makes no difference. The production of parts for the V1 should also be discontinued. I already had the small version of the V1 and got more foam pads and stuff from the Kickstarter for it. I only wanted the V2 because it came with a glass plate and I used the small V1 so often that a larger version made sense. There was also an anti-spill pot holder for the V2 as an example. If you're happy with the V1, you don't need to buy the V2 until you run out of reusable membrane and hydration foam. But maybe there will be a newer version by then.

Hey thanks for your question. I think that because 2/3 of the book is more theory, the price makes it less worthwhile for professional artists who already have a strong knowledge of color, light and shadow. There are also a lot of detailed tutorials that could help to get a different perspective on how to work. For me, the book was worthwhile because the theoretical part is also well structured. Of course, you can also read a lot of it for free on the Internet, but then it also involves a lot of searching. Here you have everything in one book and also chapters on topics that you would otherwise not have considered. In addition to the basic knowledge that I was taught during my training and studies, I was able to expand my knowledge through the book and because it is so thick, I am still learning something new because you can't get through it within a few days if you want to apply the knowledge you have gained.

Yes I also sometimes wish just to save shipping costs. But I can understand that they do not have the space to store all the books and therefore make it annually via kickstarter.

They're probably making like easily over a few million I would say. But even if that's not the case, they could just try to get the book published. So book stores would sell it then they wouldn't need the space

Yeah your right. But they also share a lot of stuff for free online. I don't know much about publishing but I would think that publishers don't like to share the informations from the books for free.

@@alicejungdesign yeah it is what it is if they want to share stuff I guess that's why they don't want to and I think they also lose a pretty big percentage when you publish. I think you keep 70% or something but every time they sell a book you get like a percentage so it kind of evens out.

I don't know if it's different in other countries but I ask a friend who published a book and he received from every sale of a printed book 3 euros from 17 euros. I have seen the first book from how to think on Amazon. So I thought they tried it already.

When you have more than one course you want to take then it's worth the money. That's my opinion. I pay the 170 and can see the sale at the moment for 200 if you make a new sub. They change it from time to time but I think the cheapest is the 170.

OMG Thanks I will try that. My current Guache Box is nearing the end and next month at the latest I will open the next colors again and hope that I can open this really easier. 🙂

But don't be discouraged from trying to draw something just because you don't think your drawing will come out the same in the end. Just practicing leads to improvement. I have often wondered about myself what I was getting out when I tried it. The drawings were sometimes better and sometimes nothing worked but isn't that part of the fun when you challenge yourself?
