My new SYSTEM X Strings will arrive on Monday and I can’t wait even though I put a custom set of GAS Strings on my new LIFT X33 the week before the new strings were announced.

Greg does not believe your bull shit,he’s second guessing what your saying. You can do all the tests your want hit them in the vitals. And I’m glad Graig brought up bowmar shooting that ostrich at 141 yds,he’s an unethical punk ass . Just think of all the animals he wounds that you will never here about. Houser your a good salesman. More bull shit and I think Graig agrees with me. Who gives a shit what animals bowmar shot. And yea been bow hunting 45+ years.

7:20 The 100 yard ethics question isn’t about accuracy, it’s about the time the animal has to move, thus changing aiming and impact point. If an animal can duck a string at 20 yards, it can move a whole lot further at 100, resulting in a poor placement, or ethically questionable shot choice. Get closer!

The best thing to do for target panic is to learn how to shoot a hinge with a safety. The true ball sweet spot pro is a great hinge to use.

Paige is one of the best teachers on social media today. I would put her up against anyone when it comes to simple practical advice on bow set ups. She has a gift when it comes to communication that most men don't have.

I got so much amazing info out of this podcast. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I love Paige. I literally have a crush on her brain. One note I have is, you mossed represented the Ranch Fairy stance on heavy arrows. Please remember that there is only ONE large-scale study on arrow penetration done in the world. This is the Ashby Foundation study. You can't deny their results and their arrow penetration factors. That's like denying that earth is round. Dont alienate the small part of your viewers that like to have a 550gn or heavier hunting setup. I will take whatever you say from a tunning standpoint and write it in stone because you guys are the definition of experts in the field. But when it comes to arrow penetration, youd be well served to listen to the only organization that dedicated their whole life to study arrow penetration. And dont forget that when they were doing these studies, the only insentive was to make sure bowhunting was legalized in as many countries in Africa as possible. They didn't do the study to sell you some gimmicky product. They never advicated for the use of their system for Deer hunting. They just advocate their system for CONSISTENT penetration through heavy bone. Thats it.

You have to keep in mind that the Internet archery/bowhunting world is full of idiots who major on the minor to a ridiculous degree. Paige, please keep doing what you do and try to look past the morons and trolls. There are those who genuinely need/want to learn, there are lazy people who want to be spoon fed everything, and there are others who just love to stir the pot.

Thanks. This was entertaining, informative and thorough. Learned several things. Good luck with the house resolution efforts. As for Matt Stutzman, he is the one person in the world I'd love to meet and visit with. I enjoy watching him shoot a bow and have always rooted for him. Best wishes to you both, from an old hacker who enjoys archery.

Can Paige elaborate on the spine consistency of Easton s? Specifically, are we giving up spine consistency if we choose regular vs match grade. I know there is a step up in straightness, but are the spines in the match grade more consistent than the regular grade, or is it just straightness?

I remember getting started in bow hunting in 1974-75 . Buy a bow , buy some arrows Wasp broad-head and go site in . Go hunting . Climb a tree stand and shoot ! However, since then by watching KZbin I have learned how to work on my own bow . Bow press , change strings , cam lean , cam timing, paper tuning with fletched and bare shaft. What a game changer . I love watching that arrow fly .

Both of you are exactly right. I don't care if you go out and buy two identical bows from any manufacturer and take them home and set them up identical ly, they are NOT going to shoot the same. There's always going to be a variance.

I saw where they said it was a blend of a couple of different grades of Dyneema and Vectran. I don't see why that would be desirable at all if it's true. If it's the same percentage of Vectran as 452X/452XTRA then you'd have to have 1 strand of 400 denier Dyneema of a certain grade and then another 400 denier of a different grade of Dyneema. Basically one grade of Dyneema would be weaker than the other and have different creep resistances so I don't see how that would be good at all.
@YoureSoVane25 күн бұрын
From the patent, it's a different blend than other fibers. Each half of the string is made from different strands, and each strand has different blends. So it's basically four different mixes of fibers of as many as six different materials. I think their goal is to find a goldilocks zone where the creep doesn't occur at working loads and yet the stretch occurs with minimal energy loss.

Great , I am 75 and doing the same thing . I have ten yards in my basement. This past year I had some therapy for the pain in my bow arm . Thankfully it helped . I am back to shooting my bow Elite Ember , 36 pound pull so far. 251/4 inch draw .Victory 600 sine arrows. Elite Ember is a highly adjustable bow .

I just got a dozen 5.0 Match Grade and out of that dozen I have 8 that are "good". There's 4.8 grains difference from lightest to heaviest. The spine varied from 310 to 327. 10 out of 12 have an obvious stiff side. They are all .001 straightness but spine and weight consistency is more important to me. Eastons claim of spine around shaft consistency is BS with their all carbon arrows from what I've seen on the Axis and the new 5.0. My RIP TKO and 3DHV arrows from Victory both have tighter tollerences than these Easton 5.0 MGs that I got. Even my old CX Red SDs tested better than these 5.0s.
@YoureSoVane26 күн бұрын
I've been disappointed with Victory for a few bad arrows in a dozen. As much as I hate the price, I've never had that issue with Sirius. Super small stiff side, basically irrelevant.
@matthamilton008124 күн бұрын
I shoot RIP XV's and have always been impressed with their consistency. I had a really bad one this year and took it to the booth at Redding, they sent me a half dozen and gave me target points right there at the booth! I can't say enough good things about Victory, IMHO...
