I throw about 30-40 in a couple trays and toss them in the oven after cutting the ends off for about 30 min. The skins just fall off.

I did it! I'm 55 years old, have raised 3 kids, and never blanched a vegetable in my live until recently. When cv19 started happening, my husband signed us up to get produce from a local farm, delivered every week in season (I'm in Ontario, Canada). So far I've done carrots and beets and turnips, and I thought I'd try my hand at tomatoes. We get some beefsteak tomatoes, which promptly go into sandwiches or served on a platter as a side dish, but we get lots of Romas too. So bit the bullet and did a bunch of Romas. I'm a nervous soul when it comes to trying new things, especially in the kitchen, but your clear instructions, and demonstration, and indeed your friendly and calm voice led me to give it a go. And tada, I did it! Thank you so much! I realized after the first couple that the top end floats, ha, and is therefore harder to peel (because it wasn't blanched as long). Started holding the little rascals down and smooth sailing. :). Thank you!

Thanks for this clear, helpful video. I have my first harvest of Roma's and wasn't feeling confident. I am far more confident after watching this! :)

My lovebird does the exact same thing in the shower. Must be a lovebird thing. Mine's more friendly and hand tamed, so don't think that has anything to do with it. Regardless its just plain cute! :)

You should check out Peekaboo Parrot's vids/channel. She has some good tips for getting a bird used to handling and taming.

@@AlbertaUrbanGarden Howdy from Ontario! I know this post is from a few years ago, but I couldn't not say hello when bumping into a fellow Canadian. Hope you and yours are doing well. Cheers from Kemptville. :)
