listen to what this asshole says right in the beginning of the video. "The social sciences is important because how do we change the behavior of men. . ." Social science is the system John D Rockefeller Jr. created to control the human mind so that the public would never get in the way of the merchant elite again in their quest for a global empire. Social "scientists" are the most dangerous form of religious fundamentalist. Their "science " is post modern and doesn't even believe in the concept of truth, isn't created by rigorous study and scientifiic method and yet they still think controlling the mind of man and altering behaviors to suit their whim is completely benevolent and just. The closest they get to science is mad scientists. They've recently realized that 60% of the research that has been performed by psychologists to set the standards in their field is unfalsifiable. They think it's in humanity's best interests that they control the mind and behavior of man and 60% of their research on the human mind is complete bullshit.

Tiresomely obvious Conservative rhetoric over sovereign control over immigration, demonstrably false based on the control the UK had on immigration prior to Brexit, and that migration figures have doubled since Brexit. Therefore this sovereignty that Daniel speaks of, is somewhat laughable. On one hand stating open yet criticising what was considered too open before hand, which is a befuddlement of the facts and circumstances. Additionally Jagjit rightly reminded Daniel of the facts regarding immigration, tax revenue gained by the employment of migrants. Daniel later speaks about productivity and an aging population in the UK, and without any irony misses how migration can assist the UK in those endeavours. Daniel appears to have disregarded in his other reply, the nature of the climate future facing us all; let us recall the first world and the UK's role in the industrial revolution and therefore the historical carbon debt that the rest of the world is paying for even when their contribution to that debt is miniscule in comparison. Climate migration is a collective responsibility and I expect political parties to demonstrate greater humility. Most panel members were better at that than others. Thank you for a balanced and considered conversation.

I am afraid my lord, you are full of crap. Electric cars are much more polluting than older petrol or diesel cars, because for a start they have to be built. Nissan proved 50 years ago that to build a car creates as much CO2 and pollution as a car makes in its life time. Then you have the mining process for lithium, cobalt, rare earth, gold, and the fact child labour is used for these mining processes. Besides you cannot convince me that my Renault Modus diesel, that was sold to me as Eco 2 car, and does 60 MPG. is more polluting than the armies fighting wars, cement making, huge tankers, cruise and container ships, that burn stinking bunker C, not to mention the coal fired electric power stations to generate electricity for your electric car. If you can prove to me that my car is more polluting I will junk my car and use a bicycle.

Trots out truisms contained in commissioned research and used to pad out corporate CSR brochures, reframes potentially oligopolistic market share data as positives, misrepresents CSR influenced sales targets as funds (they're not, it's all the same balance sheet with this simply being an opportunity to say 'billion') though TBF this is actually meaningful depending on whether they're stretch targets or not. The learning academy sounds potentially good, tho UK-wide, but fair play re: the SME thingies.

Asking people how they feel and turning that into Data should be illegal, the most stupidest major. That's why we have multiple genders. It's not proving anything. It's how people feel so it must be data. Get people to eat healthy and then telling people love yourself. Because that's how people feel. That's why we have fat people. Then claiming we did the most research from any other country yet women and men are choosing to go to their preferred educational majors, didn't really change anything

The word Populism was invented as an INSULT, what you mean is Democratic.
@richardeastman98464 жыл бұрын
Populism is nothing if it is not opposed to bank power that leads to mounting debt (increasing elite bond wealth) and repeating thoughts of deflation-default-liquidation-contraction-austerity-deficit-financed-short-lived deflation spiral. AS THOUGH IT WAS MEDUSA CITY-APPROVED MATHEMATICAL OPINION ANALYSTS NEVER LOOK INTO THE FACE OF POPULISM WHICH IS THIS: Every nation borrows it's entire M2 money supply at compound interest. All deposit in checking accounts are credit pounds that were co-created with new debt-obligations to pay over time an larger sum (principal plus interest in installments, meaning that the stimulus effect of any fresh deposit via deficit-financing by government, businesses or the household sector will provide deflation of purchasing power only in the beginning before interest payment drains it all away and then some. The result can only be mounting debt and mounting transfer of real assets to the creditor as once promising businesses go under in the interest drain depression. This is the great problem that real populism attacks, but not the fake populism that the City and its academic hirelings to serve as their ghostly straw man. AND REALOPULISM ALWAYS OFFERS THE SAME REAL SOLUTION --NATIONAL DEBT-FREE NATIONAL CURRENCY (PAPER OR GOVERNMENT FIAT DEPOSIT CREATION WHICH IT DISTRIBUTES TO THE HOUSEHOLD SECTOR TO SPEND IT INTO CIRCULATION, THAT AND ALSO END ALL DEFICIT-SPENDING BY GOVERNMENT, HAVING PUBLIC SERVICES ALL BE TAX FINANCED BY A WEALTH-GRADUATED DIRECT TAX. THAT FIXES THE PROBLEM AND BREXIT MAKES THAT FIX DOABLE. Populists also advocate repudiation of national debt because it was incurred under a rigged and manipulated system based on fraud and fraud violates all contracts.

Not really too impressed. Still, not surprising that he is a "professor", whatever this means these days given the way in which older, more experienced academics have been dispensed with due to "wrong talk" or "wrong think". He really needs to get a real job for a while if his views are to have any credibility. In particular, he seems to think that a university degree correlates with intelligence or, indeed, education. The massive increase in "degree" courses over the last thirty years has created a considerable number of people who think they are intelligent and informed just because they have graduated. He seems to suggest that those older people, who were not graduates are not intelligent or informed. Where is the evidence for this assumption?

The majority of the real, mostly white, British working class are mostly fairly socially conservative and the enormous, overwhelming, majority of the actually British working class, and, ever increasing, numbers of the actual British middle class, want mass third world immigration stopped. British people have never been asked about and have never agreed to it and people want it ended and ended now. The Labour Party went down to their biggest defeat since the 1930 at the recent General election for two main and two lesser reasons: The main ones were people want a real and full Brexit and a end to mass third world immigration. The more minor reasons were most British people are not extreme left wing Marxists and Comrade Chairman Corbyn was correctly regarded as a extreme left wing traitor who never saw a enemy of Britain he did not, at least, really like. The traditional working class people of Britain are generally fairly patriotic and almost all of them have people who have fought for Britain in their families, often very many. They are not stupid and they are well aware that the modern Labour Party mostly despises average, white, British people and wants them destroyed, in favour of third world migrants who, mostly, hate everything Britain has ever stood for. This dude could not be more wrong.

Matt Goodwin is an extremely smart chap, you have to be to get a gig at the RIIA. However I hope we can see why our politicians get things so desperately wrong by listening to people like him. Dominic Cummings however use the same statistics but interpret them with a vastly higher degree of common sense, a fuller understanding of how things work in practice, and with a strategic nounce few can match. Leadership is an art not a science, while strategic nounce comes from combining knowledge and understanding based on practical experience, often known as wisdom. The RIIA is crammed with Oxbridge PHDs, however you will often receive more wisdom, from talking to the tea ladies.

Social sciences faced problems when Thatcher was in power - she saw it as breeding grounds for left wing idealists
@paul-baseballcollector5 жыл бұрын
That's a classic attack against social sciences, but it's a misleading one. Social sciences are not politically oriented, they are scientifically oriented. We try to understand the social world by describing it and interpreting it. People say we're leftists because we shed the light on the effects of power and because we describe the structures of social mechanisms that people who benefit from them would prefer remain unknown (for example, the structure of capitalism).
