If I understand which one you mean, I ordered the pole mount adapter from starlink. And the pole mount pole with bracket from Amazon. I've listed these two in the description. Unless you are speaking of something else?

The Gen3 Dish is worse in almost every single way. I've mounted both now for several different people and the Gen3 is just bad. You can tell they just cut corner to make the dish cheaper, the mounting system cheaper and pretty much the entire thing cheaper all the way around. It's unfortunate.
@homesteadyall26 күн бұрын
I've never owned another so I'll take your word for it. The Gen three functions beautifully but the mounting on a pole did take some doing. I'm actually surprised it hasn't shifted and needed any calibration. I guess I did tighten it up really well though

My fiskars pole blade and head are cracked. the blade is in two pieces and the head is toast. Can I just get a replacement for them since i have the saw and the chainsaw. If so where can I purchase one.. I thought they were stronger than that.. only had it for maybe 5 years
@homesteadyallАй бұрын
I see different saws and replacement heads on Amazon so likely there is one for your pole. Looks like fiskars sells them in different places. Might be easier to just buy a new pole saw complete from the store. I hope you find a good deal on replacement parts. If you buy the saw blade and replacement head separately just make sure that the holes match

Have you used it? I've read a few complaints that it doesn't have much reach to get to the motor.
@homesteadyall2 ай бұрын
I've only used it so far for moving heavy shop equipment and unloading crated equipment from a trailer and lifting a mower. I don't see anything unusual that would make it bad for an engine block, although I haven't tried that yet.

Thanks for the video. I'm using 2&7/8 inch drill stem pipe for my posts. Your video answered my question, to use a drill or to use a cutting torch to make the holes. I don't know why but when I drill in thick metal, the drill bits will snap off. I even keep the bits oiled and they still snap off. I feel like I would be going thru too many bits. I never saw your bits break off, so I'm gonna try the kobalt bits in the future. Thanks for not editing out the difficulty parts.
@homesteadyall2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your kind words, one never knows whether to leave in the difficulty parts or not for sake of time. I'm glad the video helped, and I'd definitely recommend using the Cobalt bits for going through metal, Bosch was good to me but any high percentage cobalt bits should be better than the standard bits. Hope you get yours all drilled and working, good luck!

Hi. We are just about to have birds of laying age and we are wondering how you keep your birds from not pooping over the nesting boxes in this same coop. ?? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for all your other ideas.
@homesteadyall2 ай бұрын
This has been a bit of an issue for us also with the layout of the bars over the nesting boxes. We had an idea to put something there to block that area so nothing can fall on it or to stop the birds from resting above on the bars. Instead we've been using nesting pads to make the boxes maintainable by swapping pads on occasion when they are too messy, which also gives them new soft nests to lay in. It's a bit of a band-aid until we can really change the situation with some upgrade to the coop to stop the issue. Sorry I don't have more we're in the same boat, if you make an upgrade maybe try stapling to the underside of the bars something that can serve to block the birds above from the birds below in the boxes.
@anguslean40582 ай бұрын

Thank you. The white pipe going down in the tank how far do I send it down to create the bubbles inside the septic. TIA
@homesteadyall2 ай бұрын
Ours is already installed so I don't know where it enters the septic tank. From what I read, the septic system should tell you where to install the air line. I see conversion kits to add aeration to ordinary septic systems and they each have their own requirements and air pump configuration. The installation guide for SepAerator Premium from septic solutions has a diagram of their particular setup that may help.
