can u show me how to make the detected models? cuz i ttried using TensorFlow Model Maker on Google Colab but ran into import errors, and using YOLOv5s-TFLite resulted in the displayed image freezing when the model was invoked.

how did you align the colour sensors with the green spaces?

@@BLADE-yf5mc Distance between the 2 green patches is constant. So we mounted the colour sensors such that they are in the middle of each patch.

Why did you not attach the motor and the new free wheel to the left side of the original rear wheel? That would have been easier. It is after all called a left free wheel ebike kit for a reason!
@aarravoltics45924 ай бұрын
The freewheel requires threads to be attached. There was already threads on the right side, and it was easy to make the threads longer. So it was actually easier to attach on the right side. In order to attach on the left, I would have to cut the threads myself, which is quite hard to do.

What camera did you use? Also did you use tensorflow or opencv to detect the balls? My team is using opencv I’m just wondering if we should switch to tenserflow.
@aarravoltics45927 ай бұрын
We used a raspberry Pi V2 camera (because it was inexpensive and has good resolution) We used tensorflow lite for the ML model
@BLADE-yf5mc7 ай бұрын
Also why did you use two omni wheels. The robot won’t have the omni directional movement
@BLADE-yf5mc7 ай бұрын
My team is considering using the ESP cam and Arduino mega. Do you think we’ll run into any problems?
@aarravoltics45927 ай бұрын
@@BLADE-yf5mc omnidirectional wheels because we wanted the centre of rotation of the robot to be in the front. So we had to put normal wheels in the front and Omni wheels in the back. This is so that the back wheels also contribute to traction (especially on ramp) and it can freely move sideways to allow for centre of rotation to be in the front. But I would recommend you to use 4 similar wheels with good traction in the front-back movement but which can slide sideways when turning. Eg - 3d printed wheel hub with a TPU tyre
@aarravoltics45927 ай бұрын
@@BLADE-yf5mc you can use the espcam but from our testing, we found out that it's video processing capabilities are very less (frame rate of the video is very less). So if you plan to implement ML, espcam is not a suitable choice. It's best to use a raspberry Pi with a pi camera. Then you can serial connect the pi to your Arduino. Even though we used a pi, we got only 2.5 frames per second... You can try to use different models and choose the one which has the highest frame rate and accuracy.

why not use a brushless motor instead of a brushed one?
@aarravoltics45927 ай бұрын
You can use a brushless motor. It will actually be more efficient than a brushed motor. But it is more expensive and it produces 3 phase AC which needs to be rectified into DC.

How did you fix the bearing to the 3d printed part?

The 3d printed part holds the bearing tightly and the pvc pipes constrain it from moving side to side
