Heads up to people watching this today, we’re at that point in the “near future” the video was talking about where now serial buses (PCIe) is actually predominantly used today and parallel buses (PCI) has declined. Great video btw!

El proyecto Lisa empezó en 1978. Xerox quería comprar acciones de Apple por 1 millón de dólares. Un 10% de Apple. Jobs quería algo más a cambio. Visitaron el PARC en 3 ocasiones y alli vieron un prototipo del Xerox Star, un ordenador muy adelantado a su tiempo, con una interface gráfica, ratón, tarjeta de red e impresora láser, compartida. El problema era que para sacarle provecho al invento había que comprar 2 o 3 y costaban un ojo de la cara. Unos 100.000 dólares de la época (1978), unos 250.000 euros a dia de hoy. Lisa costó más de 50 millones de dólares en desarrollo y pagar a programadores del PARC. Una locura. Además su precio era prohibitivo. Nada menos que 9.995 dólares de 1982. Unos 20.000 euros a día de hoy. Llevaba 1 MB de memoria RAM, 7 programas incorporados y 2 unidades de disco de 5 pulgadas y un cuarto, poco fiables. La Lisa del vídeo es de 1984 o posterior porque incorpora una unidad de disco de 3 pulgadas y media. Se le llamó Apple Macintosh XL.

Really good video. I still have the question about bus sizes. How does a bus increase in size when multiplexers are involved? Do you just increase the size by adding another 16 lanes and add more multiplexers?

Can you use routing for my WAN in Tampa to see the printer on my WAN in Syracuse. Would a vpn router be needed? We are trying to avoid using a VPN router

It can be done through port forwarding on the router, but this, however, may require some level of expertise.
