Greazy should’ve won it, if anyone despite LM10/CR7 individually doing better than everyone in the domestic competition anyway. Griezman Won WC scored and assisted more than Modric and lost the final in which Griezman won. Won UEL - POTT (player of the tournament). Voter fatigue or not, it’s should’ve been Griezman’s Ballon d’Or 🏆

It's awarded to the best player of that year. Not to the player who won the most trophies in that year. A player can make 91 goals and it's all he can do for his team but still lose because the DEFENDERS are bad and the team concede to many goals. And what, is the offensive player supposed to defend now aswell as scoring goals and giving assists. Messi undoubtedly deserves it in 2010. The only one that he doesn't deserve is 2021

i think he deserved 2019 because no one matched his performances at all. despite the criteria, looking at Liverpool and how many players were great and were undeniably the best players in their positions in the world at the time… adding Trent, Robertson, Alisson, Fabinho… Liverpool were bound for success and we cannot look at them and say they were elite… or else the 2018 ballon d’Or would be Griezmann’s and not Luka Modric. Messi single-handedly took Barca to the semi final of the ucl, final of cdr and won the la liga all on his terms. stats aside… look at his impact on a team where he was literally the only person performing. he deserved that Balon d’Or.

Why do Captains and Coaches vote for Messi. Regardless of the stats in a given year. They look at the type of goals other players score or the type of plays and they say to themselves,I can do that, or some other player can do that. When they look at what Messi does on the pitch, they know nobody else can do that. That is why Messi deserved all eight and more.
