@@ACxREAL Yep it was a lesson learned, as I was starting into reloading now I know better, and am patient, have to be in reloading.

@@jamesyoung4545 yeah I had thousands of rounds loaded no problems. Went and made some small adjustments and didn’t do my due diligence after. Luckily I only loaded a couple hundred rounds. Unfortunately I took those rounds to a match.

@@Cjordanshooting for sure! I only have one rival s but it has crossed my mind. Maybe if I picked one up on the cheap I’d give it a go. Awesome feature in the rivals is you can pretty much set them up for ESP, SSP, or CO.

@@ACxREAL yessir! The sfx mete pro is surprisingly perfect for co.. ass a freedomsmith trigger & it’s even better.. my sfx is my main IDPA gun but is now my back up uspsa since I bought a shadow 2.

@@ACxREAL I have an atlas, scheckmate, and staccato the dwx is fast and fun but no optic. Disservice to its range. With optic gun is awesome beyond 15yards tolerance. Same length as shadow 2 but faster dwx is a fast fast pistol

@@johnbuntin7188 for sure I’d just try adjusting the leaf spring. If you are concerned about not being able to get it back to where it was I’d recommend picking up another spring and doing the work with that. I’ve had more luck with a standard spring over the light weight versions. A Colt or Wolff spring is very inexpensive and worse case just replace it with the stock one. Thanks for watching!

Not sure. Maybe I short stroked the trigger reset. Seems impossible but it can happen. No malfunctions before or after at the match. Well lots of mental malfunctions 😅 but the gun worked.

@@dylawnX5 there is some combos I can’t swing. You’d need a F threaded barrel. No reason it wouldn’t work though.

@@aaronsung6208 no personal experience with the killer innovations shoes. For me out of what I’ve used the overwatch is the best option for what you are discussing. It’s got a small hook at the bottom and it keeps you on the trigger face. Thanks for watching.

@@eduardocosme1997 the front and rear sight are from Dawson Precision. The front is for the p07/p09 and rear is a Glock sight. I’m trying to remember where I got the sight height specs so they would line up and co witness. I’ll comment when I can remember. That said the front sight is dovetailed and has a set screw holding it in place.

@@eduardocosme1997 I supplied the optic and the screws it came with to a local gunsmith and he cut the optics slot and threaded holes in the slide for me. It’s a custom job 👍

@@aidansoccer12 yeah I believe it would. Another good option for a well defined wall is the overwatch striker and whatever spring you wanna use. You won’t be quite as light but the overwatch striker with whatever shoe you like and a reduced power spring will get you a long way. There is also strikers now from Cajun I don’t have any experience with those but I’d assume they are good.

@@nickbrumwell8628 shaving the screw down is fine. I don’t have much experience with that specific pistol but what you are describing is pretty common on a lot of models. You should have no issue just sanding the screw down till it clears. Sounds like some solid set ups you have going there! Thanks for watching and commenting 😊

@@ultimatetaba the pre travel adjustments are made with tabs on the trigger bow. The replacement trigger bows from CZUSA webstore have those added. I’m not sure if the newer models have the tabs also but the earlier models do not. I’ll take a look at the trigger on a newer version and see what it has.

@@ultimatetaba so the standard trigger / trigger bow that comes on the pistols do not have the pre travel adjustment tabs. It’s about 26 bucks shipped for a replacement trigger from czusa web store. Some fitting required just some sanding on the top of the trigger shoe and adjusting the tabs. You can also add a 4-40 screw to the back of the shoe for over travel when you are doing the rest of that stuff.

@@pistolpete1 it’s about the plate thickness higher slightly less maybe. The stonebridge gun works mill job puts the hood of the SRO about .010” above the sidle. The plate system from Dan Wesson puts it about .090” high. If the deal is you she is only and always going to be an optic gun and you are fine being married to one footprint then direct mill for sure. If you want options, go back to irons switch to another foot print etc then the optics plate systems are the way to go.

@@calitovegas408 the DWX is a much more refined or finely crafted gun. The frame and slide machining and finish are nicer. The trigger after some work is slightly better. So overall I would say yes I like it more but I’m almost obligated to due to a bias and to justify the expense. Certainly if the DWX underperformed then I could say no but it’s a really nice shooting gun. Im not sure I’m any better because of one gun over another. That mostly comes with practice and experience. Ive also jumped from one platform to another about once per year. So just about the time I get comfortable with something i change. All that said I don’t think you can beat the Rival or the Rival S for return on investment. Those guns shoot awesome and looking at the top competitors that shoot them it doesn’t look like they are having any problems competing with any other platforms. If you slapped a Rival in my hand tomorrow I would not feel under gunned.

@@ACxREAL Yeah I've loved my Rivals since I started shooting them. Got the S right when It came out and was shooting the poly before that. This year I was thinking about switching back to the S2s I was shooting before them but I just shoot the rivals better. I wanted a DWX years ago and still toy with the idea but I worry ill be disappointed.

@@calitovegas408 for sure it’s always nice if you can try before you buy but no matter what you’d want several matches to actually see if you like something or not. I don’t think most of the time the gun purchases isn’t some super rational thought process. More of a physiological game where you convince yourself you need or really want something because whatever reason you used to justify what you are doing. I’m pretty sure you would like the DWX if you like the S2. It feels pretty similar in the hand.

@@ACxREAL Yeah my buddy got one and built it into an LO gun but quickly sold it for something else. I didn't shoot it after it was finished just stock which was honestly underwhelming but I wasn't expecting much from an iron sighted stock gun. yeah I'm definitely good at figuring out how to convince myself to buy new guns. Do you feel like the DWX is any bigger in hand that a S2?

@@mrdato116 yeah it’s one of those things that often folks don’t know about. I think a lot of guns will get a bad rap or written off by their owners and so often it’s actually ammo issue. Even factory ammo can vary widely and choke up ultra reliable guns.
