i have an 800 watt microwave, what i do is cook on the low (defrost) setting for 20 minutes with the pie in the box, the crust turns out perfect. if i cook on high the crust gets burned spots and uncooked spots, i'm guessing that's why they say not to use anything less than 1100 watts. they do turn out better in a conventional oven but that takes an hour.... the beef pie is meh.. the turkey is my favorite with the chicken in second place.
