You should be charged for automotive treason. 😂 F BMW and great work on that restore. ZCG in San Jose, Ca. Cant produce those results for under 1 million us dollars. But they are crooks we found out.

Ein Saxomat! Ich fahre einen VW Käfer 1200 Export mit Saxomat. Herstellungsdatum August 1962. Nach viel liebevoller Streicheleinheiten ist 'Rosalie' jetzt wieder sicher und komplett funktionstüchtig auf der Straße. Diese Käfer mit Saxomat dürften äußerst äußerst selten sein. Mich würde interessieren, wieviele aus diesen Jahren noch laufen.

I will put this out there just for other people looking to do a project like this: the easiest way to strengthen a panel, particularly one you've lightened by punching holes in it, is through the use of dimple dies or bead rollers. The reason why modern unibody cars rarely have a single flat panel in their structural components is for this reason. Applying a bead parallel to the loading force on the panel will dramatically improve the strength and rigidity of that panel without adding weight. The only thing it adds is time and the complication of welding a more inconvenient shape.

amazing restoration, thumbs up! BUT i need to say, all that time and effort and you dont remove the rear suspension etc. and why, why paint the interior red? the floor mat i can buy but all others just makes it look like a early 2000 cheap styling. the black hood, clearglass headlights and the cover on the rear window aswell. shoulve gone with original in my eyes. BUT like i said amazing jb and thumbs up! taste is different and should be different :D
