Hi Dana, I am quite new to the X32 rack. I see you can select the different outputs from your computer to the X32. I can only selectLoudspeaker (Behringer X-usb) why is that? I installed the X-USB audio driver (found this not in the download section for the X-32 Rack but in the X-32 core section) Still i cannot select more than only one loudspeaker (berhinger X-USB) what am I doing wrong

I fought with the feedback loop for years until the update automatically fixed it. And now I know how to prevent it also.

A couple things, one would be I don’t know if you meant the LEDs as being an icon but that is the level the oscillators Are set at which is usually a little hot you can turn down the gain to a comfortable -18 if you choose to. Also on the same adjustment page you can change it to pink noise or white noise so you don’t have the annoying 1 k Tone which also on that page you can adjust the frequency of the tone. I have version 3.0.5 on the wing compact but it should still be the same on your version. Once you set it to pink noise or white noise and adjust your gain you shouldn’t have to reset it again. Also you should pick oscillator one and then oscillator two to adjust the tones that you want to hear or pink noise or white noise and set the gain on that oscillator also. After you go to your channel and turn on the oscillator you go back to routing and then push the sources button on top and then you will see the menu to change everything. also let’s just say you wanted to put it on your Kick channel to test that channel after you’re done and turn off the oscillator then you need to pick whatever your kick channel is on like say local in and then choose kick to put it back on the regular menu

If studio 1 is able to deal with a live scenario, is it better to use than Reaper for latency issues?

Almost three months on my Compact and It's working beautifully. One thing I noticed is when I change songs in my DAW and the routing is different then the mixer it has frozen all the USB channels and then I go into set up and change the number of USB channels then it gets unfrozen then I change it back to what it was and everything's fine and I don't have to redo any routing.

Question. I have everything set as you described. One thing I noticed is, on my version of Reaper I just downloaded, (the latest iteration of Reaper as of today January 1, 2025, in the routing section, the area of output (labeled Out 1 (stereo/mc) ) was checked as a default. Should this be unchecked? If left checked, what does it do?

A solution, Finally! Upgrade the Mixer firmware to 4.13 and the problem just went away! Now it works like a charm!

I'm getting my wing compact today and I'm excited. I'm connecting my X32 rack as an AES50 On A and connecting my laptop with an ethernet switch. Thanks Dana for always helping us.

Now here's where It get's Wierder? Tonight I dug through my AVG firewall software (Don't ask me how, I got there eventually by clicking menu & advanced a lot) Somehow set the X32-Edit software So it can do what it needs to ie: Connect to the desk, which it now does nicely (again, don't ask me how I did that, I'm just guessing at this stage) BUT! Now it won't ping on the network? Is there anyone out there who can tell me what that's about? Because that's a whole new networking twist for me!

Hi Dana I tried this method and it didn't work for me either. BUT! nothing else has either, so I thought I'd give it a go! The wierdest thing is, X32-Edit won't connect JUST on this PC! I tried X32-Edit on 2 other laptops on this network (one wireless, one wired) And they both connected to the X32 without any issue! It's just my main PC that I want to run X32-Edit on, And it won't connect. It's been suggested that it's a firewall issue But I don't even know where to start with that

Why would you not connect the X32 Rack to AES50A, one S16 to AES50B, and the other S16 to AES50C, and set the Wing Rack as the clock? Also, with your current configuration how would you, for example, use the channel 12 XLR input of the 2nd S16 as the source, for example, for the Wing destination of channel 25? How does that 2nd S16 show up in the Wing? Would it be A 44?

Get the DN888 16 OUTS plus the 8 on back of rack.

Hey Dana, thank you for the video. Now my question is since we used FX sends to more outputs for IE, so what should I do if I need to use some FX for front of house, or send FX on monitors? I always thought the X32 had 16 out by default, but in my surprise there’s only 12

Nice that you send that osc to a channel and not just busses !

I am thinking of getting one of these to expand the fx options for the M32. Yeh it seems a bit overkill for that but it will have other uses as well. Bus sends from the M32 into the Wing Rack fx should work over AES50 right?

I had a long questions but I removed it. I really wanted to go with the WING but, I think the CQ-18T will fit my needs better. I need 96K as I'll be using this as a rack recorder in the studio. I don't do any live mixing currently.

Dana I'm glad to see your up on wing edit, were gonna need ya. I'm looking forward to getting my wing rack. I'm going to use my X32 rack for the stagebox. I got the edit software from behringer and I've been practicing but hard to figure things when it's not connected. Thanks for all you do.

How to set up all input and output aux and jack and rca and xlr

Hi Dana, great expertise you already got on this pretty new beast! We are tending to purchase this one but still unsure if it fullfills our needs regarding IEM outputs.... there are 8xXLR out (2 for R / L FoH) then 6 more for 3x Stereo IEM mix. Can we use another 2 of the Headphone outs to route 2 more mix busses to those jacks independently ? thx in advance and go ahead with your Wing series!!

How to initialize m32 edit?

What i don't fully understand is routing stereo iem. Since the Wing is stereo, do i still need to have 2 xlr vonnections for stereo iem?

Good idea to start with User in. I always use user in and out on the X32.

I was attempting to get the KT, DN9630 to pass audio off the Midas DL32 stagebox AES50B port and wasn’t getting anything. Stumbled across this video and almost gave up, resigning to having to use the B port off of the X32 console. But turns out my routing was incorrect.. I didn’t realize you keep counting up after A32 when daisy chaining after the first stagebox still on the “A” port. So the DN9630 does work for me to pass audio theough the B port in the stagebox and into the X32. Unrelated, also very thrilled the midi input on the stagebox works to send Cue changes to the X32. Hope this helps someone!

Thanks for posting this, wing rack arriving next week. Big upgrade from our xr18. Looking forward to getting to grips with the basics then getting my teeth into it properly. Would really appreciate some simple instructions for basic routing in then out to mains and using the other6 outputs for in ears.

So I just used the ATR2100-USB for the first time. I didn't watch any videos on what to do. Everything was fine, messing around singing a song, using Audacity, acapella. Whenever I hit a higher note, the mic recorded nothing. Trying to figure what was going on. Mic level was set @ 50%. I will watch the rest of this to see if something on your video gives me a clue.

Im having latency with the standard card. If i upgrade to xlive card will it fix the latency? Im at 8ms seems to be the lowest i can get even with any high end pc
