Only thing missing was the Rock robot and Leonard Haze smoking on matters. You Y&T purists will get that.

To my brother from another mother. Great vid. For those who haven't picked up on it yet, TJ and I have been friends for 40 or so years. Been through thick and thin together. Concerts, roommates, ex-wives, and late night trips to varsity donuts and Red-Carpet Liquor. I'm ecstatic to see you and hear the optimism in your voice. Hang tough amigo.

Yo man health is wealth. I hope everything works out great and you have many more healthy years ahead. You’re right, we have to do a better job especially as men of getting checked out. We’re stubborn! I’m guilty of it myself. Thanks for sharing that because that’s very personal. Hope your Thanksgiving is great!💪🏾

Now here’s an underrated guy. I have two Y&T CDs, Black Tiger and Meanstreak and they kick much ass. I also have a Dave Meniketti solo album on cd called On The Blue Side where he plays blues/blues rock and it kicks ass also. He plays a Strat on several songs and he has a great Strat tone. I forgot to mention that in my video, he’s another major influence for choosing a Strat. He’s known for his LP and a super strat type guitar but when I heard his Strat tone I fell in love with it.
@guitarzen70802 күн бұрын
Man, I grew up listening to Dave. He is one of my faves and yes u totally nailed all of that dude!!

I remember when my big brother brought this album home on tape! I liked it immediately and it’s still one of my all time favorites. My favorite solos on the album are on Let It Rock.
@guitarzen70802 күн бұрын
Slippery when Wet! Remember the original album cover?😀 Man, every song on that one was great and yes, Let it Rock was AWESOME.😃 Have u thought about making more content? You are very knowledgable, relatable and great on camera.
@leogoliveКүн бұрын
Yo I had to google that! I’d never seen that one! I was ten when that album dropped and I only saw the black album cover with the words on it. My brother was in his early twenties and he probably saw it but I missed out😂😂😂…man thanks for the kind words about the video. I have definitely thought about doing more content. I’m not sure what direction to take though. I don’t think I should make it a dedicated guitar channel though because first off I’m not the greatest player in the world, and there’s a slew of killer guitar channels like yours! I just love music period. I just wanna talk about music in general and anything related to it. Lemme figure it out and then I’ll go for it lol! The next video I make though is gonna be a thank you video for the 116 people who actually watched it 😂 Thanks for your support TJ💪🏾
@guitarzen7080Күн бұрын
Thanks buddy! I really enjoyed it! And hey 116 views is freaking great! My advice is just to keep it simple at first and dont let it become a job. Just enjoy making content and the people u meet. Like yourself! Music in general is a great topic. Maybe rate some albums or CDs? Happy Thanksgiving man!
@leogoliveКүн бұрын
Great advice man. I’m brainstorming some ideas right now! I wanna offer something that’s hopefully enjoyable. Thanks for being so cool and having a great channel. Happy Thanksgiving to you also!

Curious as to how the amp is treating you? Im considering it. My 6505 plus combo just died and kinda tired of dealing with finicky tube amps. I really only used it with an old boss gt3 (i think it is) in front of amp and got my tone and effects from that, plenty of delay and reverb😊
@guitarzen708022 күн бұрын
I just love it. Great tone, set it and forget it. Any adjustments are to my delay and reverb. Yoy wont be disappointed. This is a great amp. Now, ive never used itnin a band setting - being solid state it may get buried in the mix BUT if u are looking for a bedroom rock concert, it’s the best ive ever played
@stormbringer19722 күн бұрын
@guitarzen7080 That's great. I've got someone trying to trade me a crush 60 pro combo but turned it down as I'm leaning towards the super. Some of the other oranges seem kinda muffled/shrill idk. But this one appears to be a winner. It would seem we have the same taste in music so I really value your opinion. Was pretty bummed about the Peavey as I didn't have it long. Was really happy with the tone with the boss effects unit running in front. Surprisingly it sounded like crap through the back. Anyway, I really appreciate you taking the time. George, Warren and Jake are some of my favorites as well. I gave a sub and will continue checking out your videos. 🤟

@stormbringer197 Appreciate you my friend. Im TJ btw. Yes, I would get the 100. Pushing that thru the 1x12 Celestion is rad. Let me know how it goes👍🤘😀
@stormbringer19715 күн бұрын
@guitarzen7080 Got the combo yesterday. I'm not experienced with amps. It's interesting. I've got a yamaha thr10x, a catalyst 60, and the bk peavey 6505 plus combo that just crapped out. The super by itself sounds good, just get alot of feedback even with the effects unit noise suppression cranked to max. Just exactly the same as the peavey did. And the way it's voiced I find it not to be loud so u have to crank the master and channel at least halfway. I played with cranking one and not other and vice versa, switched outlets and tried 3 guitars. They all feedback bad, but the peavey also did that. It's voicing is different , kind of like it's an enveloping distortion not pushing out or something idk. But I cranked the output of my boss effects unit and did a bunch of tweaking and have it loud and more like the peavey sounded.
@guitarzen708015 күн бұрын
@stormbringer197 congrats on the purchase! I have the distortion channel at about 2 oclock. Master is low. My secret is I use an MXR OD pedal in front of the amp with the output cranked and the gain on 0. Fills it out!!!
