Very entertaining video! I'm practically finished with my project: putting a Scorpion sled's Cuyuna 440cc engine in a G9 (same as your cart). Instead of cutting into my axle though, I put a sprocket on the input shaft and built an adjustable tilt jackshaft mount for the dirven pulley on one side (positive side effect is that allowed me to slide the engine closer to center of the cart. My engine is a twin cylinder so it helped for fitment). I rotated the cylinders and pistons 180 degrees, so the exhaust comes out toward the rear of the cart, raised the engine mount up so the engine could slide further foward, giving me more room for the drive belt. I even managed to fit the starter/generator in below the driven pulley behind the engine! If you're curious, I can send you pictures. I have a KZbin channel but I'm never in the mood for filming and wrenching at the same time lol. Note: I lifted the golf cart 7 inches 4 inches would've probably been enough but the 7 inch kit gave me double A-rms) for extra room - and bigger tires. I'm not sure I needed to go that high for everything to fit - but it sure didn't hurt! Other than having to move my project to an area I rarely have time to visit, the only thing that's paused the project is extremely low compression, which I finally ordered "new" cylinders for this week. Now that I think of it, I've been cataloging my progress on the Buggies Gone Wild website. Lots of pics and a more in-depth method behind my madness. www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=189624

Looking at your video, I see several obvious differences between a 1974 Ramcharger and the red one shown. 1. 1974 Ramchargers do not have quad rectangular headlights, they stated in 1979. 2. 1974 Ramchargers had a flat instrument panel, yours has angled ends. That started in 1975. 3. The doors have a stiffener around the exterior door handles. That didn't start until 1976. I had a 1974 Split frame Trail Duster Sport, that I bought new. All that said, I wish you well with your endeavor.
