I love the Mongolian Stomper but honestly his Stampede character was the best version of Archie Gouldie. He was an absolute badass with a big mouth but he could back up everything he says.

Uhhhh.....that's it? It looked like he was disco dancing with those nunchaku. And the sidekicks (one of the easiest kicks to do) didn't impress me either. I thought he's be waiving those sticks around doing spin and axe kicks. Oh well.

Let’s face facts. Anyone who watched Stampede Wrestling in its hay day knows it was hands down the best wrestling show every.. It had superstar talent like the Dynamite Kid and some of the best villains like Bad News Allen.. Ed Whalen was a hoot on the mic and no manager ever was as fun to watch as JR Foley. The Hitler moustache with all his different outfits and every so often him and Stu would wrestle. And of course there was Karachi Vice and the Great Gama Singh. It was the best of times especially since back then, WWF was crap. Even more impressive are all the great wrestlers Stu Hart trained other than his kids. He trained Superstar Billy Graham, Mark Henry, every great Canadian wrestler like Jericho, Benoit, Edge and Christian. I just wish they would release all the footage. I would buy the entire catalog. Stu even had some of the best talent from afar in the promotion at times. Tiger Mask from Japan.. he and Dynamite were killing each other. Or when the Honky Tonk Man and Dr D.. David Schultz. 😢

Rocco and "Fuji" Yamada had a BIG feud going on in England at this time for the World Heavy middleweight championship. Rocco also partnered the legendary KENDO NAGASAKI (Peter Thornley the masked British one not Kazuo Saurada) against Yamada and Clive Myers on TV in England. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mX7GqH17mNyWh8k

Notice Owen and Yamada are already wearing the Blue of the Blue Blazer and the Red of Jushn Liger even though neither masked alter ego had been yet invented in 1987.
