I’ve only just discovered Coda on uTube, and have fallen in love. This may be the best male vocal group I’ve ever heard. The harmonies are perfection, with a special nod to the sweet high notes of the fair Welshman. (Yes, I may have a crush) I notice all the videos I see are a few years old. Is there anywhere I can find more recent performances? You’ve captured the heart of this Canadian lass.

Listening to this again, I teared up at the absolute perfection of the song. Not the words, but the chorus. The acapella is spot on. Gives me chills and leads me to tears in the beauty of it.

Absolutely fantastic! My family hasn't spoke Irish in three generations, but I've been learning songs in Irish such as Mo ghile mear, Siuil a run and others. I've also recently learned this and Hewlett by O'Carolan on the guitar, it would be a blessing if you made the lyrics accessible for me to learn the words!

My heart loves listening to men singing. It’s the very best of them. I could listen to this all night. I volunteer in a prison and I go to their Sunday services so that I can listen to 70 men praising God. Their voices raise me up. Just love this shanty and this group.

Although a sailors life must've been hard graft, I can't imagine what it must've been like when they just sang shanties in the bowels of a wooden ship. These men built an empire.

I discovered this song because of Assassins Creed Black Flag, which I played a lot in the COVID months. For the unfamiliar, in that game you play as a pirate character and one of the items you can collect on your journey through the game are sea shanties for your crew to sing while you're sailing from island to island. Honestly it's kind of a brilliant feature, especially because the songs chosen and the performances included in the game are really well-done and feel authentic (no idea if they actually are). This one was my favorite of the bunch, so in looking for other renditions I came across this masterpiece. I swear when I first found it it only had a few thousand views but I may be misremembering. Regardless, I'm very happy that this has reached so many people. It's sung magnificently, and in an environment and moment where it feels lucky that someone was recording. This video makes me want to sing in a group like this. Dudes rock.

I wanna play the complete franchise. From which AC should I start????
@IamNace2 ай бұрын
@@unknownboi9084 i recommend to always start from the first one. Then you should continue from that, AC 2, AC Brotherhood, continue following the release dates chronologically. Btw, be aware that AC is definitely a franchise that has ups and downs, so don't expect a lot from the games released after AC Rogue. But still, it's one of my favorite franchises of all time, and i think it is a game series that people should play atleast once.
@anabnos2 ай бұрын
Yep, agree with the above. Play em in order of release. Some games are way better than others but IMO the floor is fairly high - I don’t think any of them are wastes of time. Also be aware that doing them all will take a LONG time
