Thirteen Arches is one of the hardest tunes I’ve ever learned to play. Fantastic composition by Seamus Connolly.

Top lads, sadly the lovely Mick is no longer with us and the old Jolly Angler is no more. I had many a happy night there as have so many musicians. Great landlords / landlady - when pubs were piubs. There's still Irish trad music at the Peveril of the Peak every Tuesday (near the Bridgewater Hall - 8 to 11 pm) and many other sessions round the town like the Horsehshoe Levenshulme and the Station, Didsbury. There's more but I left the head out in the rain and it isn't working properly so I can't remember them ATM,.

Eoin is so amazing... musically gifted, just so brilliant. I love everything this man does, he's incredible, they're all incredible. I encourage you all, go to Dublin to Temple Bar at the Palace pub of an evening on the off chance these folks are practicing and it will change you forever. It's near the Haypenny Bridge.

What a genius he was. I heard him many times (but still not anywhere near enough times) in concert with the Chieftains, and his solo piece was always incredible. I felt like the music was ripping my heart out. It’s been a long time, but I felt it again just now. Thank you.
