Amaaazing - you've just got to be a bit brutal with the fabric to get it over the bar - thank you so much - I've never bothered with this before and have just made a perfect rolled hem - super delighted!! Thanks again!

Hey! Thanks so much for watching. This is a difficult question to answer because there are different factors involved like the cut and fit of the garment and the weight of the fabric. It doesn't sound like you need a ton of support so I would start with whatever size you think will not be too big and boney looking under the fabric and go from there. For sure do a mock-up first not just to test bones but also to get the fit right. It won't matter what bones you use if the garment is too big anywhere. I hope that helps ❤️

great playlist, thanks! any ideas on how to make a corset that will be less visible under a tight dress that shows lines through easy (like a thin knit fabric)? i want to make a bra corset that will flatten my extra tummy skin and belly button padding and love handles, but the dresses i really want it for shows lines through. spanks dont help my tummy enough and they tend to roll down and act weird while you wear it (i also have a crazy long torso so they dont go high enough so i get a skin roll between my bra and spanks), and no store bought item would ever fit my torso. i usually need to add about 5 inches to the torso of things.
@StephanieRubletzАй бұрын
Oh that's a tough one. I feel your pain on the length issue! But this might take some experimentation. Maybe try using the finest boning you can find and put the booking channels on the inside so your main fabric can help smooth over the bones.
@jnl.Ай бұрын
@@StephanieRubletz i was thinking bra foam fabric over top might make the bones and seams less visible but that might just be weird. lol

I am doing a hem on a polyester silk fabric. Should i keep rolling as well. It sometimes gets tricky cuz the fabric is slick. Should i iron first to make it easier?
