Max diameter of piece?, can the rotary chucks be elevated to facilitate a larger piece? Are these steppers or servos on the machine?
@MillRightCNCАй бұрын
On this particular model... 2.75" for OD clamping. You could elevate, but you will eventually run out of clearance over the bit. Stepper on this.

It looks like it could actually cut thin sheets of mild steel if you went slower a few times over. Thats actually quit impressive. Was this steel annealed/tempered? what steel was it?

TB 6600 have worst driver many has blow this broken, better use DM 5xx drivers, numbers mean what max current can use.542 max 2A 544 max 4A i use 556 max 6A my nema 23 4A motors. you need know what motor max current have very important run motor less than max current and near max current 4A motor better run 3,8A max current setting not burn motor. and have best torque motor, if use too low current motor not run good or no have torque move.

I am about to pull the trigger on a cnc. Millright is at the top of my list. However, after watching this video I am concerned. It look as though your machine cannot make smooth cuts in the round. Please clarify what I am seeing here.
@MillRightCNC9 ай бұрын
The fonts themselves are large line segments. It's just following the lines from CAD and CAM. It will make round features just fine, its just following the lines from the CAD file we had for it. Take a look at the beginning of the video where the bottom has large lines instead of smooth curves. If the cut file has a smooth arc ot will follow that. If you are talking about tearout, then yes that will be experienced on any cross grain cut and can be minimized with finishing passes.

Aside from engraving, I'm having z axis depth issued with pocket operations. On the software I'll have a 1/4" deep pocket, but the machine will always cut short of that. I'll get 1/8" this applies to all depths. Seems like it always about half of what I design.

Sounds like an incorrect machine parameter. If you have our machine you should contact [email protected] so they can engage with you on this matter.

@loganrose2791 Жыл бұрын
Likely because they also offer 4 axis, ATC, G43.... Etc.
@MillRightCNC Жыл бұрын
This was with GRBL. The Mega V 2 can be bought with a GRBL control or a more advanced one. GRBL doesn't have canned drilling cycles, but Fusion 360 (and most other CAM packages) will write G code that mimics a peck drilling cycle.

I currently own the 35-inch Mega V1. I am in the beginning process of starting a KZbin channel that will consist of videos highlighting different woodworking projects and I am working on a detailed instructional video for assembling it (Mega V1) since there are currently no good ones online that i have seen. I chose the Mega V1 last year before the mega v2 was announced. The reason being is that I am an engineer by trade, and the structural rigidity and stiffness are better than any of the other branded machines available. I wish there was a conversion kit available to upgrade the mega V1 to linear rails like the V2. That would be great. Also fyi, please consider upgrading the microphone on future videos. There is a lot of background static that makes it hard to hear what you are saying. Other than that small inconvenience, great video. I can't wait to see what the future holds for your company

You can purchase HG20 linear rails and trucks fairly cheaply and upgrade your machine. If you are engineer it wouldn't be much of a challenge. I built a 3D printer from scratch. The hardware was the easy part. Garbage open source software was tougher, but I got it working.

Thank you. We only make it available at time of purchase as there are usually some different electronics or settings we have to put on a machine to run the 4th and our new generation of 4th axis won't fit on the some of our previous models as it was designed with the new generation in mind.
