This kettle is a Paul Revere. Revere Ware isn't made anymore. This was a company that literally traced its roots back to Paul Revere, who founded Paul Revere & Sons in the 1790s in America. The best quality Revere Ware was made between 1939 and 1968. Starting in 1968, Revere Ware cookware started being produced in Korea and later in China and was made much more cheaply, with about half the metal as before. The sad demise of yet another great America company.

The best Mescal I ever found was in Mitla on the road to the ruins. 10 or 20 tiny shops each with their own self made mescal. They all give you samples. It is almost impossible to make it to the ruins w/o getting very buzzzzed.
