Great lesson overall - but we shouldn’t say “Na asgaya tla ajalgi yigi” followed by the reasoning of him being “agvhnage”. There are now and always have been so-called “black" Cherokee people - myself being one of them (and no I don’t mean mixed African slaves). We’re all over the Spanish colonial records, etc. Connotative linguistics and European racial constructs are the very thing that disbanded our people and language in the first place, and we need to be more aware at this point in history. Especially when formally educating ourselves and others.

Need phonetic spelling. My mind keeps trying to see the phonemes in the Cherokee spelling and interferes with matching word pronunciation. Song is helpful.

You guys are aware that black isn’t exclusive to Africa right ? The indigenous people of the Americas, Eurasia, pacific islands and practically everywhere that isn’t a cave or arctic region the indigenous people are negroid.

My great great grandmother is full blooded Cherokee her name is Grace Goodman Christian Im loving it that you are teaching people lessons of language and stuff for the Cherokee. My family is from West Virginia and i have a cousin that has sworn herself into the Cherokee and goes to powwows.
I'm dead yo ni$## a is how you say white people or caucasian the funny I'm going to say this to my white friends and tell them that it's in the Cherokee language

Thank you for leading this course! I want to work through all four Cherokee language course levels offered. Saying your name ꮳꮃꭹ ꭼꮧ - ꭴꮓꮄ - it felt like the air coming out of my lungs with each syllable was emphasizing the meaning "wind". What a beautiful learning experience! 🌬️

There are a lot of hidden gems at the animal shelter. Don't shy away from the ones that don't come out and hide, ask to see them and take them outside. Dogs get traumatized in that place from all the barking etc. Dogs completely relax when they're out of that environment many times. Don't judge them by walking by their cage.
