I wanted a female Doberman… but considered too fierce at my condo association ( with tails and ears ?) 30lb weight limit … so 2 30lb wippets it is … I HAVE THE SAME PERSONALITY AS THE WIPPETS … STOP AND FULL THROTTLE… I love short hair no smell low maintenance… intelligent loving creatures…RECALL IS MY MAIN CONCERN…ALOHA … I have many groovy names for them

That's a great system. But how do you do the back nails?

Could I just comment on your commands? 1) you ask the dog to sit, dog sits.Great. 2) you say Stay. Given that the dog is sitting there is no need for the Stay command.3) You throw the dummy and say leave it, given that you already told the dog to sit and stay, then leave it, do you not think the dog may be a bit confused. The SIT is the only command until you say fetch it. All others only lead to confusion. In my opinion. Thanks for posting anyway. Nice dog.

My whippet is crazy, my other two dogs ( border colle and westie spaniel mix ) was a dream to train, this video is so helpful, my whippet seems great when im going through steps on her lead but as soon as i take her off shes off ignoring me, definitely given me something to think about

I own a whippet my 3rd one they're wonderful dogs, but not for everyone. So glad most good breeders will make sure you have a secure yard and have whippet experience. By nature they aren't what you'd call people pleasers they're harder to train off lead like all sight hounds. I don't recommend a whippet if you want a dog that is easy to train.

We have 2, 5 month old littermates who were not accustomed to crating. He has taken to it well but the female is suffering crate panic. Overnights are ok as she will settle after 20+mins with us in the room with her. But while first in the crate, she isn't responsive to positive reinforcement. It's panic. I have to go out of the house regularly during the days, but she doesn't settle during those times and I'm forced to come home after an hour or so. I have to crate her for safety reasons. We've done exercises with the crate like in and out and reward for calm. But after a month of being with us, we're discouraged with the lack of improvement. Any advice?
