Thank you. Got some cuttings yesterday as just loved how they look and wasnt sure if i could grow them from cuttings or not. Your video was easy to follow and you didnt dribble on and on like other youtubers do. Will follow your instructions today and fingers crossed i get good results. Thanks again.

@@westridgefloristtoowoomba8079 another quick question, do i prick any small holes into the makeshift hot house (plastic bottle like you had) as Im just wondering how the plants can get any air to them whilst they are in the hot house. I have cut small slits into top part like u did, but that goes over the bottom part of the bottle so no air would seep thru them slits.

Thank you so much for sharing going to give this a try I will do one with honey and one with rooting powder. When ever I have tried rooting gel or powder they have never worked. Someone told me for roses a potato and cinnamon on rose stem works well. Going to give that a bash too.

Love the video and advice but maybe next time - could you do your video when the mallnis closed.....The first three times you said food colouring i couldnt make out the words over what sounded like s large ,18 wheeler transport truck & the screaming child. Nothing thatvyou can fix after the fact butbyour video seemed to be theybonly one with the info i needed to reconstitute the eucalyptus and help.it carry on. If it doesnt work, then no problem, the plant material was given to me so its free & if it doesnt work this time ill keep my fingers crossed for next. Perhaps could you also include a list of items you used for your 'recipe'. Thanks for your suggestions!

You need to begin with fresh roses that have not been out of water and recut the stem when you put in mixture

@westridgefloristtoowoomba80798 ай бұрын
Young tree? If the leaves you use are to immature then they won't take up the glycerine properly. They will just die and go crispy choose mature leaves.

Well , Hello ! I am down Newcastle way in NSW ! Just came across your short but very informative Video , my Young Lady ,lol ! I thank You for it ! I have Propagated Carnations before but not like You described it ! Mine are a hit and a miss ! At the moment I have three 2.4 Metre long by 200 mm high and 120 mm wide Wooden Beds that I made and they are full with Seeds bought from Bunnings and growing quite well ! No Flowers yet but soon ! Also , I watched other Videos on how to prune the Carnations to get bigger Blooms of the Flowers ! I will try it all ! Carnations are the first Flowers I ever bought for my Wifey before we were even Married and she sure Loves them ! Thanks again , Cheers , Klaus !

How long do you leave the roses in there? Should i wait until the rose starts bleeding it out? I plan on doing this method with a diy rainbow rose, do you suggest putting in food coloring again with the glycerine mixture or will the colors stay vibrant if i use only water and glycerine? Thank you!
@westridgefloristtoowoomba80796 ай бұрын
A rainbow rose has already taken up a lot to get the colours up stems so prob won't be very successful.personally I would just sit dry a rainbow rose and then maybe try using wax

Wonderful video thanku ! I liked this video in particular because it was concise, as well as informative. I hate when people drone on about something such as a series on raspberry growing I watched the other day; the u-tubers padded out the video to make it longer which wastes precious time. However this video was perfect, and it's great to know about the bottle-propagator too, many thanks for this. I had wondered where I was going wrong as I'd take good cuttings but they would always dry out & "crisp-up". Many thanks !!

Could you explain more in depth on where to cut the stem? Sorry if its a confusing question i know nothing about flowers and am trying to save a carnation
@Fdbfjfkfidkdbdbdks Жыл бұрын
First cut is done under a node and the second cut should be above a node. Nodes are those little lumps on the stem she points at where the leaves grow from

Great explanation. One question. You said once planted you’ll have that carnation growing in your garden forever. I live in zone 6/7. If I plant it in the ground, will it come back year to year?

I'm not 100% sure though I think they will. I would suggest taking a few cuttings to have as a back up for replanting.
