I love how vertical math can illustrate equailty/parity - it is easy to understand things go down stay the same. For that very reason alone I have noticed that when you write the < 2 *(E/2) I would prefer it next to the term above it. Like the Text books illustrates - I find that the inequality is easier to understand when you don't ('page skip') in this proof. If at the end it goes < terms E = E I find the solution more satisfying. Thanks for demonstrating proper use of Negatives in Absolute Value Functions

you need to include the endpoints because it's part of the interval so, for example, the increasing intervals are (-infinity, -8] and [0, 2]
