It’s bullshit, children are entitled to child fares. You shouldn’t need a card to do so. The card gives you nothing, it’s essentially just a form of ID that you have paid for. Doesn’t give you discounts or anything. If bus companies are struggling because of fare dodging, that’s their problem. Hire or create jobs to counter it. But no, they put the cost onto honest people by forcing them to pay for ID. Don’t blame phones either, you’re the ones forcing us to pay using our phones because you are becoming reluctant to deal with cash. You’re greedy superiors set the rules. Doesn’t the owner of stagecoach live in a huge castle in Scotland? Plus, to travel 3 stops for £1 is daylight robbery anyway. Then if you are saying parents will get a £50 fine and you lose your Igo, then what’s the point of holding it? If they didn’t have the pass you wouldn’t find the parents anyway. As for being honest, think of the prices, then tell me that again. As for doing us a favor, please, without passengers you and your superiors will be screwed. Just the idea of charging a flat fare is rubbish, why don;t any travel companies just charge for what you use. Charge per stop. Simple.
@Mancbuses28 күн бұрын
@@karaloca that how the fares was pay per stage which is a collection of stops. Now it's a flat fare. Many areas have there version of a IGO for instance Derbyshire has the B-line card which does the same job. The IGO gives you the discount of a child fare.

you can't solve your track problem later, if you don't solve it now, you always will have problems. It's hard to tell on seeing that video, what's actually is wrong with it, but it's not only your curves, you also have problems at your points. I think your problem starts with your underground and the environment. Your attic is not insulated, so everything is exposed to huge temperature differences, materials shrink and expand. Three, actually 4 ways you could try to minimize this, obvious but the most expensive thing to do is insulate that room, but before you go into big expenses, try to instal two ventilators furthest opposite as you can. One sucking in air (not rain water) from the most north side of your house, the other blowing out on the opposite side. Try to find foam or cork (+/-2mm) to put in-between the seams of your bace bords, that will give some flex to it. Get hold of some cork to put under your tracks, I think the cheapest cork can be found at your local DIY store. And last maybe the biggest cause of your problem, I presume you nailed your track to your base bord. I would advise against using nails, but to use tiny screws instead better control of the down worth pressure. The problem with nailing is that you can put too much pressure in the center of your track, bending the rails inward, with screws you have a better control over that pressure. I also advice to make a small block, can be made out of plastic, wood, whatever, to the correct size the inner space between the rails must be. If you move that block between you rails freely your OK, if it gets stuk, their you have to much inward pressure that push your wheels of the track. I hope this will help in your build, good luck with your project.
@MancbusesАй бұрын
@@dannyvanstraelen3273 hi pal thank you for your advice. There is massive temperature changes as you stated. I have found that the point issues it a lot to do with the gauge of the wheels and this has been sorted now. I have attempted to build this from 2 other layouts that was sold cheap as parts on Facebook. Since this was filmed the 2 ends where these join up I have been very busy improving and moving things to make it all work. I do still have a mixture of track however which I'll be solved in the next few months. This is something where I only work on it once in a blue moon sort of thing. I am pleased now that 95% of the time I am able to leave a train running with no issues. And since this was filmed DCC was fitted and I've had two running rather successfully. Derailing issues are very limited now to like 2 spots which I will be looking closer into. I do thank you for your time and the comment you have left and will consider some of the points you have raised

I've got an interview with Stagecoach tomorrow for a trainee bus driving role. Spent all my working life in manufacturing / warehousing and always fancied bus driving. Really see it as something I could work at for the rest of my working life. What do you think of them as a company ? And would you recommend the job as a whole?
@Mancbuses2 ай бұрын
Hello, Stagecoach is a strange company and it really does depend on the location and managers at the depot, My main time there it was good apart from the passengers sometimes. But it really does depend on the area that you are going to work for, Manchester it is mainly students then as you go into the slums of manchester you get more idiots but still really not many. even on the night buses never felt like I was in danger. Just stick to the rules and you be fine ask before bending them. The job as a whole thou is good where I am now it is super easy and it pretty much is just driving there no fares etc to worry with. But Ive said it many times the job is what you make it and how hard it is depends on you. Most days ill go for the easy option show me a sweet wrapper and you was good. Then other days/trips i would decide to check tickets and pull those that didn't have the correct or valid ticket (did this mainly when I was in a Bad Mood). Hope this helps Jordan
