Hey Sue, your yard looks like a Botanical garden❤ all the different areas are so beautiful. I know ya'll put in a lot of work but you have a home to be proud of. Love it😊

Thank you so much Laura! I wish we would have planted succulents and cacti in our garden years ago. Hope all is well with you and that the rest of your week is a good one!

Looks really nice! What a difference in the way it looks after taking out the bushes, and love the color of the new ones! And$20 apiece is a great price! All your areas are very pretty!

I agree, the overgrown bushes took up a lot of space and they were boring looking. Thank you, Patricia!

Thank you so much, Cheryl. There is still a lot of work to do. More plants to buy and always more weeds to pull.😎
@sandygeddry7243 күн бұрын
That was a lot of work, but it looks great. Those two new plants give a little pop of color. I also like to divide plants I have and try them in different places. I’m working on moving hostas to a garden where things aren’t growing well because of the shade. Gardening is always a work in progress. Your gardens are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. See you in the next video.
@seniorsuecacti3 күн бұрын
Hostas are so pretty. I wish I could grow them here. It is too hot and dry, plus I do not have enough shade. Dividing is a great way to multiply your plants. Have fun gardening. Thank you for watching, Sandy.

It looks beautiful Sue ❤ I would use rocks instead of mulch in the new garden. It will match the rest of your gardens, and will last so much longer than mulch, plus you won't have to deal with fungal issues from the mulch staying wet too long...plus it bleaches out too quickly.
@seniorsuecacti3 күн бұрын
Thank you so much Barbie. I think you are right, using rock would be better than mulch.

It looks like my Yucca elephantipes 🙂 It's probably that. I bought my first one this year for a tryout-run on the balcony. The garden center says not winterhardy but the internet says otherwise, so I will try to protect it with a fleece in November and see if it can handle the european winter 🙂 Love your videos! ❤
@seniorsuecacti9 күн бұрын
Thank you so much! I think you are right. I looked up Yucca elephantipes online and the description fits. Good luck to your Yucca on the balcony. Covering it up during the winter is a good idea. Also, thank you so much for watching my channel and taking the time to comment.

When you brought out two bags of soil I thought it was going to be too much. But, by golly you used one whole bag. You have strong muscles to be able to carry both at the same time. The sound of the water in the background was relaxing. Can you believe it’s 90 degrees today in inland Maine? See you in the next video.
@seniorsuecacti10 күн бұрын
Oh wow, 90 degrees is a wee bit warm! Hopefully, your humidity won’t be too high. Stay cool!

The first time I saw this succulent it caught my attention, it's like my pampered child among other types lol, mine was getting messy so I decided to propagate it but after some days they started to get woody. I think it's because I watered them as you mentioned they should be left for a week... I have my plants on a balcony, which is facing northwest, living in Syria. It's boiling outside, so I thought I had to keep them watered.
@seniorsuecacti13 күн бұрын
If it is really hot outside, it might not be the best time to propagate. Wait for cooler weather, or bring them inside and put them in front of a sunny window. Good luck.
