I think a part of Ryzeal's early success might be that players don't quite know how to counter it yet, but the consistency hits to Snake Eyes in the OCG did really weaken the deck to the point where other decks (incl Tenpai, Yubel, and now Ryzeal) can compete. I still think Snake Eyes is the best deck over there, but I'm sure enough really good players are tired of it so they play something else.

Only caring if there are log in rewards. Its so disgraceful that Konami is rewarding with Legacy Packs for the team pick and that only 250 of the ones that choose the winner team get 2k gems. There should be gems distributed along every placing, bit Konami is that greedy and misserable.

From the investment side, I would not suggest Salamamgreat unless you plan to build that archetype with all it needs because needs many UR compared to the others, like Pyro, Raging Phoenix and Princess to mention a few that there is 6 UR.

I really really really don’t understand why Yubel is always rated so high. Yes it is definitely very strong but not unbeatable and relies on a few mechs that you can break. I’ve seen people play trough 4-5 interruptions with rescue ace and mathmech but yubel always falls behind in those cases, and it’s easily baitable, and out of experience, even in masters, 80% of yubel players have the collective battle iq of a banana

I like his videos. It feels like his takes are mostly his own without being shaped by a lot of the general community sentiments which is nice. Might not always be right, but it's cool to see someone sort of come to there own conclusions.

I try to climb with a new deck each season. Two seasons ago it was Yubel, last season it was SEFK (without ever playing SE before, so that was a learning curve). This season I'm going to be using Bystial Centurion and I think it should be really good. Looking at the OCG Metagame report in the OCG Centurion and VV are usually about the same. I don't think many people invest in 2 Blazar, but I think that should really make the deck's grind game crazy and I like being able to fit in a ton of handtraps while still having access to a bunch of starters. Purrely to me is at the top of Tier 2. It's just so boring to play IMO. I think Lab always gets overrated in these tier lists. Tear is always scary. I was actually using pure FK last season but it's so bad against Yubel and Tear I had to switch to SEFK in D3-2.

I've been playing a lot of purrely and it feels like a tier 2 deck to me. Having a lot of succes with it. Full on agree with you there. Can't wait for the black goat laughs and maybe a second delicious as Purrely support down the line

Tearlaments is inconsistent if you don't know how to build it. The real issue with Tear is having to run worse cards to fix consistency. I barely bricked on the 100+ games I played on rating duels. On the other hand, I struggled going second against FK SE and Yubel since Tear can't afford to play a lot of non engine and their boards are so resilient and oppressive.

I really enjoy MDC and your videos, however, i much rather watch his tier list, and then your tier list, than this style of video.

I personally think your takes are alot more informative than his and less biased towards pet decks. It's easy to determine what deck is S rank, tier 0, what have you. But everything after that is questionable due to variance and the non official events.

I don’t get how people are saying this is a sleeper pack. Ragnaraika majes Rikka Ogdo traptrix and more way better Aroma also makes rikka way better, and the lighsworn cards are insane in Tear

nice i get to completely skip this pack on my main but will pull on my alt to add the new ancient gear cards and maybe make ragnaraika beetrooper if i end up pulling ragna cards

It's a skip for me but I know there's a DC event coming up this month where we'll get lots of gems so I'm probably going to spend like 4-6k gems on either alt art packs or the Magia selection pack so I don't go over the f2p limit.
