Was hoping to find details on exactly how to do this - just seeing the float being pulled is not really helpful.

I remember this crew of two ... They were on the Freeway last week in a 1972 Chrysler Fury wagon going about 15 MPH in the left lane. All you could here was the one guy shouting ..... get to your right ... GET TO YOUR RIGHT

Those guys were out of there league! Seen that bar much worse than that sounded like they didn't even know where the sunken jetty was!

the one guy that was instructing, knew and that's why he told him to not go near it. Everyone has to do it a first time. So did you! :)

@@charliemartin5482 You did a great job! That bar can be a devil. I had to watch it, again! I've been going out in a 50 foot boat, lately and it's such a different game!

You gotta love the US Coast Guard. Great video, and I like the commentary from the guys on board. Tough in a displacement hull, with lower power.

I've done it at night, but in a 50 ft boat with navigation. :) Still, scary!

Not judging but curious as to why you left at midnight? I'm assuming you had a weather window you were shooting for.

You should have been further south. You cut the rocks on the port side to close. My Opinion anyway.

Love the footage! In my trawler ('06 Mainship 34), that wind would make me a bit nervous. Also, I like to have pilings to lean on (a literal crutch)--I don't like the floating docks with nothing to keep you off the dock near the waterline except a few fenders. Of course, that's better than pilings that end below the rub rail!

I lived here from 1979 - 1980, I was only 10 but I remember alot about this place. My Dad was one of two RCMP officers stationed here at the time and we lived above the court house, the awesomely painted orange building on "main street". I really need to return here, I dream about this place all the time. :)
